an icha icha page from the novelized version of the Last

The anime producers wrote the majority of the script for the Last, but idk about the novel. Kishi gets too embarrassed with writing romance(according to interviews), so I don't think he was behind it.

Not necessarily, Kishi is calling "The Last" canon, even though most of the script was wrote by the producers and he just approved it. Besides Kishi makes manga, he doesn't write novels, at least to my knowledge.

I was like damn, only one letter off...

Kishimoto was the lead drawer on the Movie and had say so on all projects. He also drawn the Manga version of the movie. It was Maruo Kyōzuka who wrote the novel version.
