There is a thing called training and it's shown that he surpassed his war saga self. Unless you think he could have survived that blast in base in the war.

I don't know know why you are trying to use Base Naruto in The Last being stronger than Base War Arc Naruto has some kind of evidence that BSM Naruto in The Last is stronger than RSM Naruto, but your logic is terrible. Makes no sense. Maybe if we were comparing RSM Naruto from the Last and RSM Naruto from the War, but we aren't. RSM>BSM. Explain to me why makes no sense. Base Naruto in The Last surpassed his War Sage KCM. So I'don't see how it's a stretch to say that his BSM with a bit of Rikudou chakra surpassed War Saga RSM. Especially considering that he ran through a moon cutting attack, while RSM was having trouble with Kaguya using the land against him in chapter 683.
