Pain wins with medium difficulty.

- Rinnegan can see through the mirage genjutsu, locating the real one
- Rinnegan may be able to locate Mū while he's invisible
- Asura Path takes care of Jōki Bōi and Gengetsu
- Mū w/o the advantage invisibility gets quickly dispatched

I'd say that Pain wins. Preta absorbs Jinton from Muu, and a large enough ST can be used to disperse Joki Boi or take the clam out of the battle. The Rinnegan can likely detect Muu even when he uses his invisibility and see through the genjutsu. Neither of the two Kages have many feats in taijutsu to suggest that they can fight Pain in CQC, though Muu has been shown with dual swords.

Pain wins. Nagato activates "Rain Tiger at will", which is a form of contact sensing that males both Muu's invisibility and Gengetsu's genjutsu moot. Preta nullifies Jinton. Asura Path monted on the Bird explode Muu (seeing as invisibilty wont be an issue anymore). Deva Path BFR Joki Boy and Human Path suck Gengetsu's soul out.

Using water against gengetsu means he could solo in base. With out the rain, Petra is sliced with out a trace!

And literally nothing you said holds any ground based on manga evidence. Literally nothing you posted.

Nagato wins pretty badly..

-Rain sensing works based on contact sensing, thus there's no mirage happening here. Destroyed with a ST as were the toads destroyed by ST.

-Rinnegan perceives Mu's 'invisibility' (Rain senses it too). BT would potentially end him through soul rip or Chakra rod.

-Jinton is absorbed, Suiton is absorbed. There's nothing for them to utilise in order to ascertain victory.

-Mizukage can use his liquefaction until his chakra is absorbed, or his soul is ripped out.

Nagato does win. 6pop is another story. You do know who the match up is for right?

Are people using Pein's Rain Tiger at Will technique as an argument against Mu's invisibility, and the Mizukage's mirage? You do know that the Jutsu only allows him to sense their presence, not locate them? If it did, there would be no need for him to send Konan out to search for Jiraiya, as well as lead him to Jiraiya.

The Rain will not enable him to locate Mu, although the Rin'negan may allow him to see through his Jutsu. [Debatable] As for the Clam, the Rain will not help him locate it either, but he should be able to take it out through other means, assuming he'll figure out the connection between the Clam and the Mirage. Regardless, the Rain will not be of use here.

Pein wins this mid diff

--Rain tiger at will is a means of contact sensing enabling him to pinpoint muu and the mizukages clam, which is all he needs to be able to destroy the clam and precisely attack muu

--jinton is negated by preta, and pein can just attack muu during his formation of the jutsu

--Joki Boy isnt doing much either when it just leaves the mizukage defenseless,as he gets killed by missiles, and ST/BT

Rain Tiger at Will can still be useful for printing out their location.

Im more interested in finding out what Gengetsu is capable of doing with rain here tho.

bloating himself into a bigger ST target & getting his steam clone perpetually cooled down to below the explosion temperature?
