They aren't.. the Uzumaki could have saved the manga of bullshit asspull power-ups but Kishi just had to shit on them for the sake of Kaguya and Obito -_- Uchiha gained the juubi's eye (sharingan, mangekyo), Senju gained the juubi's body (mokuton, super strength), and Uzumaki gained the sage's body (chakra chains, lifeforce --> body of jinchuuriki)

So for top secret their identity has to be concealed. During the pain arc, the entire village tried to protect their secret, so outsider will never know his location. This is one of the reason naruto was allowed to go on mission with kakashi, even most enemy that naruto has encountered never know about his identity or his fox.
Well it takes time to dig up the entire story for clue, but in part 1, i already know that someday his clan will be one of the strongest. Since he has no parent, his clan name is one of the kind. Orochimaru even spared him before the sannin fight because he know that uzumaki is somekind of useful for his collection (until he got karin).

Goku was from another planet, so of course no one on earth would know about them. And Goku was clearly not human, so it wasn't surprising.

Their identities were no secret. Tsunade who left the village before Naruto was even born knew about him and the fox. She hadn't even been to the village in years, yet knew who Naruto was and that he was a jin.

That's very stupid, it was mentioned well in advance near the middle of part two, as were a lot of other things like rikudou sennin, senju-uchiha conflict. Are they ass pulls also now.
The clan has had constant mention ever since.

The Uzumaki clan was introduced into the series due to the Indra and Ashura plot, Naruto isn't a senju so Kishi has to do something to make Naruto relate to Ashura somehow and that's by making the Uzumaki as well treasured clan and relatives of the Senju U_U

Minato's name and origins were left in the dark as well and we are talking about the main protagonist's parents here. He had to have been conceived by someone strong and significant. Furthermore, we had the mysterious spiral pattern everyone in the leaf possessed, even though the leaf's symbol was different. Then of course there was the mysterious fuinjutsus Minato had whose origins were also a mystery, especially the shiki fujin.

I have no idea how the Uzumaki clan existing is an asspull. Every single person with a last name that has any knowledge of Ninjutsu in this series is a part of a Clan. Narutos family was never shown in the series, he's an orphan after all... But wait so what, wheres his clan?

We get the answer. They were wiped out in the same clan extermination period as Haku's and only a few still exist today. Like Nagato.
