Why are people saying that Uzumaki Clan is an asspull?

Actually, I was just thinking further on it and it could be written off. As long as he had Ashura's ideals it would still be reasonable for Ashura to transmigrate into someone not related. Ashura was all about cooperation after all, Indra would be another story though...

Hmm, I don't think he could transmigrate randomly. It's important to have ideals, but you also have to have an ability to make them true. I think it's normal he'd try and find a host among his descendants.

Well either way I was extremely disappointed with it not getting exposure, depth etc...............the one clan I wanted to see and read more about and I got Uchiha/Senju shoved down my throat instead :/ .

I agree with that and canon Naruto. However I think it could potentially work if Naruto wasn't from a clan or anything and the similar route to canon was taken with transmigrations present. It wouldn't happen in canon though, Sasuke pretty much confirmed with "his end" at VOTE, the cycle would end.

Couldn't agree more. U_U T'is a shame.

I really agree, even I got sick of those two clans.

I would loved to see how the Uzumaki got wiped out and what extent were their seals capable of.

An example of their seals is the Shiki Fuujin, or the Hakke no Fuuin Shiki.

Ah, please explain.

To me it seems like it was only done to bring Sasuke and Naruto closer through similarities and what not, both being one of the last survivors of their destroyed clans. It was also done to have Naruto be relevant to the whole Uchiha-Senju destiny crap, since we all know you must be from that lineage to be relevant. Not to mention Kishimoto was never planning on exploring Kushina's character or even writing about it until after he became a parent.

Also, he said in an interview that he wasn't sure/.didn't know what relevance the spiral on Naruto's clothing had, only that he was trying to find a way to put it into the story, showing a clear sign that he hadn't thought up of the Uzumaki clan until much later on into the story. Contrast this with Oda, who, when asked about the D in Luffy's name, said that readers should simply read it as such until he revealed what it's true meaning was.

I don't consider it to be an a**pull tbh; After all, the symbol on Naruto's (and the rest of Konoha's Jounins' jackets), looked like a whirl which translate to 'Uzumaki'. It wouldn't have made sense that everybody's wearing it if it wasn't a symbol of a clan. It is just the details of as of why they wore it that were ambiguous, and were explained way too late in the story that made people believe it was out of the blue. U_U

Well either way I was extremely disappointed with it not getting exposure, depth etc...............the one clan I wanted to see and read more about and I got Uchiha/Senju shoved down my throat instead :/ .

The fact that the clan didn't get much exposure even after it's importance was revealed also supports the claim that it was only shoved into the story to make naruto relevant.

Did you feel Naruto was irrelevant at one point or another?
