Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth is planned to be released on the vita on march next year and judging that it was announced around late 2013 and is going to be released in 2015 and judging from the awesome graphics I can say that this game is going to be a high budget game and the best of all digimon games yet!

here are some gifs of the game:

it's going to use the playstyle of the DS digmon story series on of the top rated digimon games and and some elements from digimon adventure on the PSP.

the game is going to have alot of options and the confirmed ones are:

-you can have the farm island : a place you put your digimon in when not using them so they can gain boost to their stats depending on the equipment you installed on the farm island and they vary from increasing attack to increasing elemental attributes and bonds with the tamer.

-alot of evolving options meaning that maybe I have 2 agumons but they can evolve to different forms and have different stats and attacks example:
I have 3 agumons all trained on different ways one of them evolved to greymon while the other evolved tyranomon and and the other one turned to geogreymon and all of them can evolve to many forms further example:

*************************
---------------metal greymon
greymon> -- megadramon
---------------skull greymon
---------------metal gremon (virus)
*****************************
----------------metal tyranomon
tyranomon>--master tyranomon
----------------gigadramon
******************************

also you can devolve and that's a great thing since if you have agumon and you evolve to tyranomon you can devolve and go from agumon to greymon instead and on top of all this you get higher stats than the previous form so when my tyrnomon devolved to agumon my new agumon has slightly better stats than when he was agumon before evolving to tyranomon and what's more awesome is you get t keep the attacks and abilities you had in your previous form meaning fire attacks from tyranomon can be carried to agumon and furhter to greymon making alot of combinations possible.

-obtaining digimon from scan data: in the starts of a battle you encounter greymon and before the battle starts greymon is going to be scanned and depending on your tamer level the amount of scaned from 100% is going to differ say my tamer level is 1 so I can scan 15% of baby digimon 10% of child and 5% of adult each at a time
and after it reaches 100% you can go to the digimon lab and use the scan data to get your digimon you can also go above 100% scan data so you can convert a stronger digimon.

-you can freely move on tokyo and gather info about the crisis happening and search for clues and other things (kinda like persona games)

-and alot more....

the voices of digimon fans reached bandai namco and they made a test on the waters "digimon all star rumple" for the ps 3 and xbox360 and sold quite good for a low budget game 31k in one month across both consoles and so bandai namco may give us a chance also sony is asking fans if they want jap games to to the west lately and alot of games were confirmed so sony might pull somthing for this game since their ps vita is lacking on games so this game should make a a great addition to the vita's library.

here's a video of the game:

the odds are on our side for now and the ball is on bamco's side so they better not drop it not localizing this game is a marketing suicide!

hope you enjoyed and sorry about my grammar fails.

peace.

I love the Digimon series but the games oh god,Digimon is one of those franchises like the modern day Sonic franchise that always tries to reinvent itself and cant just stick to a formula and improve upon it,just disappointing..smh.Lets see how this game turns out but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Digimon had 3 major formulas:
1-the RPJ (Digimon story series on the ds yous hould try that)

2- the virtual pet ( Digimon world 1 on the ps 1 and digimon championship on the ds also redigitize series on the psp and 3ds)

3-card battle (digimon digital card battle on ps 1 and digimon world 3 on ps 1)

the others are just spin offs I advise you to try digimon story series on the DS .

They have been hit and miss because they cover a wide number of genres from game to game.

I advise Digimon World 3, an RPG game with Pokemon esque battling system. Game balance is a huge issue, but the world is unique and really creates an amazing atmosphere. The battles can either be really awesome or really frustrating. (You're either crushing or being crushed). Still a benchmark for the series just for the RPG aspects.
