No no no. Chidori is just the usage of one's Raiton chakra to create unstabilized 'static' in the palm of one's hand. It doesn't require nearly as much chakra control as Rasengan. If Sasuke had of used Raikiri in part 1, then you might have had an argument (as Raikiri requires advanced chakra control to increase the density and concentration, and as a result the piercing and cutting power of, Chidori).

That was early part 1 Naruto. Overall, part 1 Naruto had better chakra control than part 1 Sasuke (in the end).

It never outclasses Chidori, it just had a greating impact. Chidori is like Chakra scapel enhanced with lighting, its mean to strike and cut, Rasengan is like Choji's human ball jutsu, it mean to smash.
Nice fanfic you've got there.

Rasengan is pure chakra without the addition of a chakra nature, that requires expert chakra control to form - spinning raw chakra at high speeds in the palm of one's hand is no easy task. Rasengan has always outclassed Chidori in its fundamentals.

there's a reason rasengan is ranked higher than chidori
it takes more precise chakra control and doesn't require sharingan for it to be effective
Chidori requires the sharingan so you could predict the enemies movement since you move in a insane speed

Despite Rasengan being a simple chakra technique without a natural element like the chidori, Naruto still needed another clone to help him cast it, while the likes of Kakashi, Jiraiya and Minato could do it alone and Sasuke could use Chidori alone without help too
i thought chidori was b ranked and rasengan was a ranked?
Both are a ranked

Naruto didn't add an element so no, it isn't.
You don't understand how Chidori works. Let me dumb the differences between the two down for you.

Chidori is nothing more than lightning chakra with shape transformation applied. Rasengan, unlike every other nature-based ninjutsu, lacks a nature (duh) and only comprises raw, concentrated chakra. To concentrate this chakra to such a degree requires amazing chakra control. Chidori, on the other hand, appears as unstabilized lightning because it's just that. As sad as it is, Sasuke was never able to achieve Chidori's higher form, Raikiri, by concentrating and increasing its striking power.

Let's simplify it even more:

Chidori - out of control lightning (pretty high chakra control)
Raikiri - concentrated lighting, hence its more stabilized appearance (expert chakra control)
Rasengan - complete stabilization, hence it's spherical shape (almost master chakra control)

Do you know why Rasengan did more damage to the water tank it hit in contrast to Chidori on top of the hospital building in part 1? Because all of its force was concentrated and compressed towards to centre of the water tank it hit, while Chidori just went through the tank it hit like a fist does a face.

LOL I'm sorry but that's complete bullshit.

Both Kakashi and Sasuke are using the exact same jutsu, which is essentially Chidori.

Raikiri is the nickname Kakashi's jutsu got after he pierced a lightning bolt on one occasion, but its still the same jutsu.

In part 1, Kakashi's version was more concentrated and enhanced because he had better mastery of the jutsu than Sasuke.

In part 2, Sasuke showed extreme mastery of Chidori as he displayed many different varients including chidori sword and chidori spear, so he actually surpassed Kakashi in its mastery, just like how Naruto managed to surpass Minato in Rasengan mastery, both were elevating their signatures moves as shown in every time they clash.

By the end of the manga Sasuke's Chidori is most definitely superior to Kakashi's, and let's not even get started on Sasuke's scene from The Last, its ironic how he saved his sensei using a highly improved version of the jutsu he was taught by him.

"Raikiri" is just a synonym, its not a different jutsu.

OT: standing/walking on water is a basic ninja skill, probably learnt it off screen, its so fundamental and basic its not relevant to show it.

He trained off screen with Kakashi for an entire month working on his footwork and building up speed. Im sure he made him learn how to run that fast on water as well before learning Chidori.

Anyways this is all pointless nitpicking. Sasuke is a genius and already mastered treecliming, now all he has to do is let out a steady amount as he walks on water.

Naruto only had a major issue with it because of Orochimarus 5-prong seal. After it was lifted he was doing it effortlessly and he was still a no-talented Usuratonkachi.

no manga scans showing sasuke learning how to walk on water
He obviously trained to master it off-panel; Just like how we've never seen the process he went through to learn Chidori, or how he trained to acquire Lee's Taiutsu & speed...etc. He's not the main character, so clearly we're not going to see his training like Naruto, it all happens off screen. It is a basic justsu anyways, and we saw how Naruto learned it, no need to do it to every character.
