I am sorry, Sasuke didn't become hokage as some predicted and nor he became crazy enough to marry Hinata suddenly for the sake of birthing another Kaguya.

Icecream?
Funny that you would even think that Sasuke not becoming Hokage is the reason why the ending was bad. That's not even close, and why would a God need to become Hokage? That title holds no relevance to someone like Sasuke.

The title of hokage is overrated and Sasuke is too cool for something like that.

And I don't see the point in mentioning Hinata, but you do like to spout random things, so it doesn't surprise me.

Chapter 700 I had no problem with.

Chapter 699 could have been better.

What I was referring to were pairings in chapter 700. Most people have a issue with it. While I don't.

Personally I liked how compact it was and how much they managed to squeeze in with the panels and Sasuke's commentary in the background. First time Sasuke expressed himself in this many words and it had a nice feel to it.

That was deliberate. You don't really get sarcasm do you? If you are going to post random one liners bashing something harshly without an explanation or objectivity what makes you think you deserve more to the point responses? The reply was as random as your post.

Yeah I mean it was not that terrible. lol I kinda like the fact that even though the ending happen. There were a lot of questions left unanswered. I mean it got people interested in the family aspect of things. Which the series never fully focused on. We now get to see how a grown Naruto is like with his kids etc. I think this aspect of the story will be very intriguing in the upcoming chapters. It felt like a whole new beginning instead of a ending. Which is something I feel Kishi was going for.

The pacing of the war arc is what ruined this mangas ending. If he didn't **** around with Kaguya and actually devoted panel time to the aftermath of the war besides Sasukes monologues it would've been much better. Don't get why people are still crying about the mangas ending focusing on the pairings because it didnt. It focused on the next generation of Konoha shinobi. You want to introduce new kids, people will want to know who the parents are.

I suspect that's withdrawal syndrome lol. It has been such a routine part of our lives(discussions and chapters) that one feels something is missing and would take anything which otherwise they may have been complaining about as milking the series beyond.

I wonder if Kaguya part too was introduced for future expansion like the brother of sage was added just to create a background for the movie.

And as usual, you like to assume things, and fly off the handle with your own hypocritical statements.

Sarcasm? Or more like you are trying to be funny when in fact you failed.

Bashing? Your standers on bashing amuses me. There was no hint of bashing in my post. It would have been bashing if I called Naruto a piece of shit and told Kishi to go kill himself, but I don't think my post was on that level, now was it?

My reasons for stating why this ending was horrible should be obvious to people who actually understand good writing, but I guess someone like you who likes to question anyone who has a different opinion than you should be the bad guy right?

Chapter 698 was great. Sasuke and Naruto's battle had ended. Sasuke questioned Naruto on why he cared so much about trying to save him. Naruto gave his answer and then Sasuke gave a little dialogue in his head about how he always thought of Naruto as someone like his brother. Then Sasuke finally gave that little tear drop from the corner of his eye. I thought that moment was good.

--

Then we come to chapter 699, which was even worse than 700. Many things were rushed. Many things were not explained. Taka and Oorochimaru completely cut off. Sakura plummeting character getting worse, and more importantly, Sasuke's sudden change of feelings towards Sakura, all so that they can have a reason to mate and become closer. It was forced, underdeveloped bullshit to appease to the SS fandom and nothing more.

Then we come to the end of 699, which proves my point on Sakura horrific character even more, but this time with more meaning.

>Suddenly willing to go with him after everything he did to her
-One would question why you would even take that chance and all of a sudden rush into something like that. It's not about the fact that she is with Sasuke. It's the fact that she has no respect and didn't allow herself to find time to earn his trust and then be with him. Volunteering to leave her home and everything behind just to be with him was probably the funniest, yest idiotic thing I have ever witnessed in this manga.

Sakura's retarded demeanor and Sasuke's quick change in character was why the ending was pitiful.

700 was not as bad but it was still bad, given that the character designs were off and Kishi just got lazy and didn't try to be unique with any of the kids.

-Pointless drag so that sporkers could scream drasgging for money?

-Yawn

-Really? What words would have been more profound?

You are really spent, aren't you? You can't even come up with real complaints anymore.

-It would have been interesting to see how they felt about seeing their lost loved ones and then losing them again. I was expecting something like the starfish episode in Justice League where Superman was in a illusionary world where Krypton wasn't destroyed. It was good episode with great drama. Could have happened with Naruto but sadly Kishi skipped it.

-Really? You are not the least bit curious to why Tsunade gave up her postition so suddenly?

-Love how you are only focusing on the dialogue part and ignoring that it only got one page. As for words: how about some words from Gai, TenTen, Hiashi and Hanabi about Neji? Or Mei about Ao? Or A about Mabui?

It seems like you are just being an apologist.

I was also disappointed in the Sasuke Vs Naruto fight. That fight was hyped for so long. I wanted more than them changing to there strongest modes and duking it out. Now that fight looked rushed.

I agree with you fully about the chapter 700 part.

I suspect that's withdrawal syndrome lol. It has been such a routine part of our lives(discussions and chapters) that one feels something is missing and would take anything which otherwise they may have been complaining about as milking the series beyond.

Everyone have there own expectations set. You just can't please everybody. I don't think there will ever be a time where everyone would agree to an ending in any anime. This part is no different.

Actually, Kishi said that he has no plans on continuing her storyline. So Kaguya was nothing more than a plot device to wipe out Infinite Tsukuyomi as a solution to many problems and to wank Team 7's teamwork.

- The manga theme is clash of moral values. It would be out of place. You seem to think this manga should cover all the elements any work out there ever covered.

-Really? You are not the least bit curious to why Tsunade gave up her postition so suddenly?

Not really. She was herself severely wounded a bit too many times recently and had already worked on rebuilding Konoha twice. Plus Naruto and Sasuke needed hands which she was preparing. Besides she had been talking about Kakashi being next when Jiraiya left for Ame. All this could be used easily so I doubt we would get anything "surprising" even if they bothered.

Hiruzen had tried that before so she is not even the first one doing it.

After 15 years of manga you are expecting Kishi the minimalist artist to turn into a wordy Togashi? When did Kishi spend time on dialogues and speeches if he could do without it?

An artist or writer's style is something you either make peace with early on or drop it before this long.

It seems like you are just being an apologist.

For me to be an apologist you have to find something actually controversial first. At this point, you are throwing random complaints which don't even mean anything.

Actually, Kishi said that he has no plans on continuing her storyline.

Ah yea.

So Kaguya was nothing more than a plot device to wipe out Infinite Tsukuyomi as a solution to many problems

Well as long as a problem is solved. ^^

and to wank Team 7's teamwork.

lol The manga is about Naruto. I wonder how long before you call it a manga for Naruto wank. :p

And it's not about a clash moral values. Look at how Infinite Tsukuyomi was handled.Lol

The main theme is bonds and so it wouldn't be out of place since it involves people seeing their deceased loved ones. Plus, Infinite Tsukuyomi has been hyped for a few years now and showing it's effects on people would have been proper storytelling.

Not really. She was herself severely wounded a bit too many times recently and had already worked on rebuilding Konoha twice. Plus Naruto and Sasuke needed hands which she was preparing. Hiruzen had tried that before. Besides she had been talking about Kakashi being next when Jiraiya left for Ame. All this could be used easily so I doubt we would get anything "surprising" even if they bothered.

Hiruzen had tried that before so she is not even the first one doing it.

I don't see what her being wounded has to do with her being Hokage, as their job to sit behind desk most of the time rather than being on the frontlines. She went up against Madara because she wanted to. Tsuande was unconsious when Konoha was getting rebuilt in part 2, so there is no "twice". There really was nothing saying that the work was overwhelming and don't see how her making those arms would make her quit.

Yes, Tsunade considered Kakashi as the next Hokage but that doesn't mean she wanted to give up her position soon. Hiruzen was in his 60s when he retired and he was Hokage for many years, unlike Tsunade. Did Kakashi ask Tsunade because Obito told him to became the 6th Hokage and she just said okay? Is it because she thought that she was a crappy Hokage like many fans say? Or is it a combination of the two? We don't know.

Point was that if the manga showed a character like Tsuande's rise to Hokage. The same should happen to Kakashi who is an even more imporant character. You don't skip over something like that because it's poor story telling.

After 15 years of manga you are expecting Kishi the minimalist artist to turn into a wordy Togashi? When did Kishi spent time on dialogues and speeches if he could do without it? It's something you either make peace with early on or drop it before this long.

So Hiruzen and Asuma can have dialogue from their loved ones to their requiems and whole chapters, but not Neji and other characters who died in the war?

For me to be an apologist you have to find something actually controversial first. At this point, you are throwing random complaints which don't even mean anything.

It is somewhat controversial. Many agree that the ending rushed and/or sucked for other reasons. So an apologist you are.

Bonds are general shonen trope. I will look for Kishi's interview - it was one of the old interviews I think where he explained his objective. Besides the whole idea of understanding each other Oro, Kabuto, Itachi, Danzou, Nagato, Obito, Madara, Tobirama's all major stopping points take us to clash of views. The infamous TNJs were result of that repeated theme.

Well she didn't agree. Send her a postcard. lol I was never into this manga as deep as you to worry over trivial point this much.

Only reason we saw that much detail because she wasn't in the village and they needed a story to explain why.
So Hiruzen and Asuma can have dialogue from their loved ones to their requiems and whole chapters, but not Neji and other characters who died in the war?

They already had grieved for him on the battlefield. Remember?

It is somewhat controversial. Many agree that the ending rushed and sucked for other reasons.

If I didn't like ending of Romeo and Juliet would it make the ending controversial? Many agree that it sucked and many don't. It's pretty normal.

And as usual, you like to assume things, and fly off the handle with your own hypocritical statements.

And my reasons for response would be clear to those who are bored with random exaggerated posts repeatedly.' Horrid' is a strong term. You are blindsided to tone of your posts.

It was forced, underdeveloped bullshit to appease to the SS fandom and nothing more.

I agree about Oro and taka and hope either anime adds something to it or we get some detail about where did they go in next series even if only one line to tell us they went back to sound village or something. Meh about pairing.
Then we come to the end of 699, which proves my point on Sakura horrific character even more, but this time with more meaning.

It's not like you were a Sakura fan to begin with. So I will leave that.
>Suddenly willing to go with him after everything he did to her

He said sorry and was changed so I don't care much. Pairing part could be handled better but once the writer himself accepted he fails at it, I am not wasting my breadth over it.

It's pretty subjective and a lot would depend on what happened during that time since ending of the war till the time Sasuke left. It also depends how much you believe Sasuke has changed and if Naruto succeeded in bringing him back to normal self or not. Sasuke did care for Sakura before he left.

Sakura's retarded demeanor and Sasuke's quick change in character was why the ending was pitiful.

Ah Sakura again.. I believe I already posted some stuff regarding that in pairing thread. Not going to bother anymore.

700 was not as bad but it was still bad, given that the character designs were off and Kishi just got lazy and didn't try to be unique with any of the kids.

The drawings- I give you that. But they were trapped with jubbi and Kaguya was draining their chakra so I attributed it to the effects of war. Affected some people more as they got drained more. If anything Kishi has been fairly consistent it's been his drawings so I don't know why else he would change the drawing of something he has been drawing for years.

A lot of Sakura but this post was so much better!! At least it tells us something of your reasons.

No need to pick a female lead show, just pick The last airbender and sakura would still fail against their characters

Bonds are the fundamental theme according to Kishi.

"Masashi Kishimoto: I've always had "bonds" in my mind as the fundamental theme. And since the story is about battles and struggles, I'm inclined to depict the resulting complications and....difficult relationships. Still, the emphasis will be on bonds. I'm going to show each side's perspective. I won't really divide the cast into friends and foes, but I want to portray each group's circumstance in a fair manner. And when they clash, I want to get inside the mindset of the characters. It won't be a feel-good narrative, since the premise is more complicated than your basic good vs. evil, but I'll give it a try."

Well she didn't agree. Send her a postcard. lol I was never into this manga as deep as you to worry over trivial point this much.

You appear to be far more invested in this manga than I am.

Only reason we saw that much detail because she wasn't in the village and they needed a story to explain why.

And that's another reason why we should have saw the end of her reign. We saw it start, so we should see it end. Many Tsunade and Kakashi fans would have appreciated it. But instead it was handled uncemonously.

They already had grieved for him on the battlefield. Remember?

Only Naruto, Hinata, and Lee truly grieved. The characters I mentioned like Hiashi, Gai, Tenten, and Hanabi showed little to no grief. Tenten even joked about it a few chapters later. And you're forgetting the other two characters I mentioned.

If I didn't like ending of Romeo and Juliet would it make the ending controversial? Many agree that it sucked and many don't. It's pretty normal.

Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy, so an ending like that is expected.

Did that interview come around the movie Bonds? :p He seems to give statements related with whatever arc or movie is around.

I had this one in mind when I referred to his objectives.

Masashi Kishimoto: I want to pay a lot of attention to every character while drawing them, but I have to omit some points. So it is difficult to make a judgment on what to omit and what to show

Also, war is a difficult theme to write about. I grew up in Okayama, which is right next to Hiroshima. My grandparents went through the terror of war, and I know from their stories that the war was built up on people’s grudges.

But you can’t just look at the current state and criticize it as being simply wrong, because every little thing in our history causes the build-up towards war, and when it reaches its limit, it breaks out. So even in the manga, it wouldn’t be believable unless I carefully elaborate on the war’s background.

As my grandfather taught me, I believe that “war is never the right answer,” but I also understand that there will always be war. I feel lucky that I grew up in a generation that didn’t experience war. However, there are certain things that only my generation can tell in a story, and I can tell it from my own perspective. Even though it’s fiction, I want to make people feel like that there is still hope.

lol I am not the one making dedicated blogs on it. And I am active in other sections too. :p

Want to discuss something else or random? You can find me in chatterbox thread. Someone of the most intense and serious debates I had this year were in there.

Call it what you want. In the end of the day characters grow older and get married. If you don't accept that sort of growth. Than I suggest you start watching teletubbies.

I accepted it but that doesn't mean it wasn't mediocre. Kishimoto himself stated he was bad at love. The pairings could have been developed better if he and or his editors knew what they was doing. It really seemed like everything was rushed for those badly developed pairings. Like it would have been better (imo) if he would have developed NaruHina more during the Pain Arc and pushed the Naru v Sasu Fight to an earlier time( and make it better), than let Sasuke have a change of heart, than develop sasusaku. But we got all the development in 700. Suddenly pairings became two-sided and not one-sided or just random.I don't know what to say about the other pairings.

The show was not about pairings. So it does not matter.

Yes it does matter when your ending was pairings and written badly. That's no excuse for bad writting. If it truly was not about pairings they shouldn't have put them there.
