Lol shut up.

I already explained that scan, it's in my freaking op. Not my fault if you didn't bother to read.

The people that actually read the whole thing get it. Those without reading comprehension are the ones who interpret that scan incorrectly. Read it properly. No where does it say that MINATO used FTG to save Kakashi, no where at all.
xD xD xD xD xD

Op caught redhanded

So you didn't read the op either smh. Read the whole thing before coming to incorrect conclusions

Nah bro. Come on now, let's not go fanboy here.

The scan is not talking about Shunshin at all, it is entirely dedicated to FTG, so the fact that is says "Saves Kakashi and at the same time marks his enemy," it is clearly talking FTG not foot speed.

No, it talking about after he saves Kakashi. Got nothing to do with FTG. It says he saves Kakashi, no where does it say he saves Kakashi using the Kunai he gave to him.

It's talking about the application of the jutsu Shiki in the first image. It even points an arrow to where minato leaves his marking. Then it puts further emphasis on this by showing a close up shots of miharus foot. That scan is entirely about the jutsu Shiki being planted on the enemies foot. As you can see Minato's hand touching the foot.

If it had just strictly been there to explain how the FTG seal is applied to somone, the part that says he saves Kakashi wouldn't have been emphasized. The scan says "he saves Kakashi AND applies a formula to the target" to show how fast FTG is.

No mention of footspeed is in that scan, it even says the reason Minato is so fast is because of Space Time Techniques not Shunshin.

Not the case at all. Why would the Databook not refer to the kunai marking held in kakashis possession. How is the reader supposed to know how minato saved Kakashi there? Let's say they didn't read the manga or they missed that Jonin gift segment. How would the reader know? The databook definitely has to include that if that was the case, but it doesn't. (And yes there are people who have read the databooks but haven't read the manga, I know few people personally that have).

It says he saves Kakashi, that's it. Nothing about FTG here, not sure how that's evidence of it being FTG when there is no mention of it. It's just telling us how he applied the jutsu Shiki. Minato first of all saves Kakashi (it doesn't tell us how), and then simultaneously marks the opponent. I am 100% confident that if it were FTG, it would have made mention to the kunai given to Kakashi by minato with the marking on it.

Like I said as well, the indications used by Kishi and effects do not indicate it to be ftg. Minato landing next to Obito and rin, the same puff of smoke and sound effect are used for the scan where minato saves Kakashi. It was shunshin/impact toward the ground on both occasions. Yet when he teleports to Miharu, no sound effect symbols or puff of smoke are used at all. Clearly FTG was only used once.

And then the other databook scan I posted shows every instant of FTG usage of Kakashi Gaiden. However the image of minato saving Kakashi is completely excluded. These aren't coincidences, it's just plain fact.

The only argument you're giving me is that it says "he saves Kakashi". Yeah ok... And? Does it say via FTG...No. It goes straight onto the point that he saves Kakashi and leaves a jutsu Shiki on the enemy, that's all that part was trying to explain.

Databook doesn't have to repeat everything stated in the manga.

The scan clearly says:
"Yondaime applies a "jutsu-shiki" to weapons such as kunai in advance."

Minato already shows he would teleport to Kakashi if he's in danger here:
You must be registered for see images

^^^^ This also wasn't in the scan.

And there's also the fact why Minato would even use his footspeed when he can FTG to Kakashi...

Everything is pointing to FTG.

Like I said before, with shunshin, minato can determine his speed better. If he just used FTG, he may have got caught in the middle of Chidori and the enemies sword. And I even posted to you before a scan of minato running to Obito instead of teleporting directly too him, are you gonna question that too, it's Kishi's decision not mine.

It's not pointing to FTG at all. It talks about marked objects in the bottom section of the page, so that's irrelevant. If it was relevant, it would've told us that before in the section where it talks about minato saving Kakashi, but it doesn't.

And you're ignoring the visual and sound effects of FTG here. It has none, it was shown to be untraceable and silent. While minato using foot speed on 2 occasions were shown to have the exact same effect. Why didn't Rin say anything before then huh? Why is it until the second time that she's completely shocked, as if it's the first time she's seen the technique.

You say the databook doesn't have to repeat itself. The fact that Kakashis kunai isn't mentioned at all here, completely makes your arguments less valid. Says nothing in the jutsu Shiki section, and nothing In the teleportation section. And come on, it has to say that Kakashi has in his possession minatos kunai, otherwise the databook failed to properly explain FTG.

You then have another databook entry entirely that shows minatos usage of FTG, yet the Kakashi save is no where in sight. Why do you think that is, yet the other 2 instances are shown.

OP is trying to interpret something that wasn't left up to interpretation

Nah, you just fail to interpret it properly. There are so many indication that it's not FTG, in fact there are far too many.

- Sound and visual effects used
- Rins reaction
- No mention of the kunai in the databook or manga
- Miharus reaction
- In fact there isn't an entire mention that exists, that FTG was used there

There is nothing to fail to interpret as it's not something that was left up to interpretation. There is a cut and dry scan that is illustrating FTG and an image of the panel your trying to say is body flicker. You could say kishi depicted that scene poorly in manga, but it's not enough to overturn the cut and dry DB scan

The scan is an image showing Minato placing his jutsu formula onto the enemies foot. That is exactly what the image and text is trying to illustrate. It even uses an arrow to point to it, for those who are still having difficulty reading it. It then places a close up image of the jutsu formula that minato placed onto the enemies leg. That's all that picture is showing, there is zero mention of minato teleporting to Kakashi via the kunai on his person (if there is then show me, bet you won't find one).

There are two main aspects of Hiraishin. The Jutsu-Shiki, and the Teleportation. Yes you're right, it is clear and cut, too bad you fail to understand it. It shows both these aspects using two main images. The jutsu Shiki application and the teleportation. It can't be made much more clearer than this.

It's up to you, whether you choose to ignore my opening post or not. It's in depth enough to tell you exactly why it wasn't FTG.

The scan says in bold flight across space in time completed in a flash like instant, and then goes into a sub text of him saving Kakashi. It seems pretty clear. And the things your using to support it being body flicker is just conjecture. Besides things like Rins expression doesn't even tell us anything. If his body flicker as good your saying it is there is no way Rin would be able to track it.

One of your key reasons for believing it was body flicker was that she saw him use shun shin to save Kakashi and wasn't shown being impressed but was in awe at the use of FTG. A 12/13 year old Rin would never be able differentiate between the two as in both cases it would just have appeared as if Minato teleported. So the moment she chooses to show excitement doesn't matter because she can't tell the difference of what she saw in regards to it being FTG or body flicker

You're probably right. It doesn't make specific mention that Minato used FTG at that point in time. Regardless, it doesn't really matter as Minato has similar speed feats with body flicker anyway. (Kurama attacking Kushina)

"Flight across space and time completed in a flash like instant" - Well yeah, it's talking about the Hiraishin no jutsu, that is the name of the page after all, or did you think the databook page wouldn't explain what the jutsu is. And then the sub text you speak of immediately starts by talking about how the jutsu works. By requiring a jutsu-shiki, which it then freaking points out to the reader with an arrow. It even puts another image right next to it showing the formula once more. That entire image was STRICTLY talking about the formula that is required to be placed. Again I'm still waiting for where it says minato uses the jutsu to save kakashi. All it says is he saves kakashi, and then gets to the main point of the topic, which is the hiraishin marking.

You also ignore all the exclamation marks. When Minato teleports behind Miharu, he has a ?!. And Obito and Rin both have ! when Minato teleports. But before that, neither Miharu, Rin or Obito were left in any kind of surprise. The fact is that kishi was consistent whenever regular movement was concerned, he used the same symbol. Even in the next chapter, when Minato arrives on the battle field, the same zoom effect is used . Hopwever with FTG, there was no such indication, no sound effect, no smoke effect, nothing. I feel like I'm just repeating myself. The only reason it mentions Minato saving kakshi first, is because it is telling us how he placed the jutsu formula. Nothing more than that.

Rin can differentiate between the two, because she saw him move from the location he was at, she was standing right next to him. However when Minato teleported, he just vanished completely, without making any movements whatsoever. With shinshin, he would've twitched or moved a foot or something or used a hand sign. With ftg, he dropped his bag and disappeared while standing still in a single spot. She's a chunin and body flicker is a D rank jutsu, of course she would've been able to tell the difference.
