The link I posted has Kishi quoting that there are three main characters. My point is that K11 and Kakashi are not main characters like you were saying. I was just correcting you again.

I explained it why in my last post you quoted. I had to edit it since I was replying two posts and mixed up the responses to two different posts.

The females in "The Legend of Korra" are awesome. Suyin, Lin, Korra, Kuvira. Man, Kishimoto is a noob when it comes to women. He just can't make them interesting and awesome. I mean.. look how pathetic Kaguya, Sakura and Karin are. Only Konan and Hinata are okay.. and even Tsunade had a nice development though I don't like her design, especially her giant breasts. The other women are not even worth to mention :/

Have you considered the fact that writer developed the characters which he wanted for his story? BTW Hinata is more like Katara here. Avatar series is an American project not a manga. It's not following the same trends in manga. You are trying to enforce that suggestive lesbian ending for Korra would work for something like Naruto and somehow make it look cool or what? But in Japan it would not be called just shonnen anymore but classed as yaoi manga.

Well the Japanese are more open towards homosexuality than the US. Just saying. Remeber Girl-on-girl/Boy-on-boy sexy jutsu? Lol

Yea they are. They also believe beauty transcends the gender and all that. They don't even mind adding stuff to make some yaoi fans happy. They still divide the genres to suit specific tastes and write accordingly.

Try Maiden Rose or something like that if you want yaoi. Though I heard it's on hiatus or long break due to the writer breaking his hand in an accident. May be dropped even. Not sure. But one of the reasons manga writers gain half the respect from me just by finishing it the way they wanted. I see so many mangas where they start with a bright idea, fine plot and then half way through they don't know what to do at all and go on perpetual hiatus.

That's not just Kishi (though he gives stupid interviews. ) That goes for majority of shonnens. Females in this genre are for fan service or for supporting cast for main. Right there but a step behind.

Legend of Korra was terrible, I stopped watching in book 1. I hated her and all the supporting characters. She will forever be the most useless avatar of all time.

Also calling Sakura a "main character" is an insult to all main characters. We didn't even know what her parents looked like until RTN, and their still not even canon.

She never had major ambitions. She would have progressed less if she had been in other teams. In team 7 she put her best to keep up with guys with extraordinary back grounds who also had major expectations due to their special powers. It's hard to compete with that.

Still better than someone like Knuckles in HunterXHunter.

But her goal was Sasuke.

Yea because girls cannot have deep bonds without being lesbians. :| And adding lesbian flavour automatically makes the ending modern progressive and thus better. U_U

Korra was the MC. Here Naruto is the MC. Different lives. Did you want Sasuke and Naruto to kiss under the moon light in the end? (Not that I would have mind. Naru/Sasu for the win).

Naruto and Sasuke had to shield each other too. That's what you do in a team. Some are on forward positions and some in background. But all have to put an effort for a team success. Without Sakura to block Kaguya from the third side Naruto and Sasuke couldn't seal her.

Sakura's expertise was as a healer. She kept her head and didn't stop making efforts to be of help. She was not always in sink with the other two but they had more experience at fighting than her and more powerful. So she got shielded a few times but she also healed them in return. It was her to whom Gara took Naruto for healing too. Can you ignore that and still claim to be fair your analysis?

As for bringing Sasuke back- it's her forgiveness to Sasuke that's helping him keep the ties back in Konoha. She has seen him at his best and at his worst and she still accepted him. Despite not supporting his actions when he was on negative road, she doesn't hold them against him. Naruto's forgiveness and acceptance had cooled his hate but it would haven't kept him attached to Konoha. Nor it would have mean much if Sakura would have been a blind supporter.

And like Lee? Come on... There are already two of Bruce Lee incarnations on the field. Isn't enough that Sakura is almost a new gen Tsunade now you want to snatch any lime light from Gai? That's not only unoriginal but would be annoying. What next, be a weapon master like Tenten too?

Naruto and Sasuke's goals were not like Sakura's. She wanted to stop being a dismal in distress. Did she stop being that? Nope, as she is still mostly on the sidelines needing to be protected, even in the last few arcs. She only played a major role in one fight and never won a fight on her own.

Sakura being the person who discovered a way to survive the Gates through her medical ninjutsu would have great for her character. She would have caught up with teammates through pure hardwork, without special genetic/lineage. Would have made a potienally good arc with cute LeeSaku moments. Lol

But instead Kishi trolled her...
