Is time, and as I see here and in the world, most people seem to waste their time immensely. As humans we are always looking for return on investment so ask yourself and be brutally honest, are you wasting your time? Is this something that will truly yield any positive result in your life? I've been guilty of this and still am to an extent. It's ironic that our most scarce asset is what we're the most loose with. No one would want to give someone else their money, people are stingy with their money and possesions but we're all happy to share our time as it ticks away, never to return, think about it. You will never have this time again, it's gone forever and the worst part is for people who live so abundant with their time, no one knows how much they have left. Atleast take a tiny bit of what I said and become a little more concious of your time.

People are free to use their assets in anyway they see fit. If three people have a spare hour after work one day and the first person wants to spend it with their family, the second wants to volunteer it to help the homeless, and the third wants to work out or go home and watch tv, that's up to the individual. As long as they are happy with their decision, they wasted none of their time

You mean aslong as they don't regret it because if you're not fulfilled then you're just trying to pass the time. Remember what I said, humans are always looking for return on investment, you might be ok with doing something but in the bigger picture it might be something you end up regretting but aslong as they're conciously aware of their decisions and what it entails then I'm ok with it, this thread was meant to raise awareness because most people live in a haze.

What bigger picture? The universe? Everyone is insignificant in that bigger picture. Of course people live in a haze. Everyone has regrets. Most people would rather be doing something fun than be working. Society only functions because people give up their time to contribute. I mostly just skimmed your post since it seemed angsty and preachy

I don't believe we're insignificant compared to the universe but it could be argued life itself is insignificant.
You just stated obvious things which has little to do with the topic and the bolded is a fools way of living.

Why is it you always contradict yourself at any given chance?
But anyways yeah, I do agree with you, I could never understand how a man could throw 60 bucks at his daughter or son he got from working 6.25 dollars an hour in order to get back to work faster, instead of spend the time with them...

In the end even though choosing your time carefully would be a big + for you, it's one of the many things people don't have time for.
Don't sign me up to have my entire life resolve around how I can be a richer man, often times a night of fun is what an individual would rather do than extra work for few bucks.

Basically everyone is aware of the chance they miss out on, as long as the time is enjoyed it's not wasted.

Just because a parent gives money to their kids, doesn't mean he doesn't also spend time with them. And besides, maybe he doesn't have said time to spend with them, so just wishes to give as much as he can to them.

Most people don't enjoy themselves however or there would be no problems in the world. Having a nights fun would be nice but you're just making assumptions at this point. All I want is for people to be more concious of their time, like ask themselves "is this worth my time?", "is this person worth my time?", "what am I gaining here?" etc.

It is an interesting topic. it is a fact that most People don't pay enough attention to the true value of time and prefer to waste it on unimportant things as long as they gain some kind instant joy from it, without thinking on the long run, as they end up regretting it eventually.

I agree with you. And time always seems to go so fast. It is quite precious since it can not be taken back.
I myself am guilty of wasting time since I am a big procrastinator.
