The beginning of my post said him doing what you just posted was PSI(Plot Induced Stupidity). It was a way to show how Goku could be beaten in his Oozaru form. At that point in time Toriyama didn't use much logic in his drawing. Mind you his last big hit was a comical manga, and he at the time had trouble transitioning to a more serious manga with logic.

The point is the feat shouldn't be taken seriously and be used to power scale everything to. It just doesn't make sense. This is what the OP was getting at, and why I was showing the scans I did. Logically it does not make any sense.

Not really, super buu absorbed gohan and gotenks, who were bascially stronger, it was brain over brawns, but still a victory in his favor.

That is an argument from anecdotal evidence. It is known as an outlier,, DB was basically a gag manga with anomalous use of toon force which are disregarded in an actual debate, if we were to scale everything from that, like general blues "lookin in the eye" rendering the victim unconscious, by that logic general blue should be unbeatable, and king piccolo destroying the almighty dragon with a simple ki blast, Goku going to the moon using the power pole, saiyans cannot breathe in space, the feats in DB are not logical, and are disregarded because apparently, they make no sense in power scaling or giving characters certain extent of feats.

Super Buu used his absorbtion technique to absorb Gotenks which would technically count as exploiting for means of victory. There was also Goku holding the tail of raditz even though Raditz posessed a PL around 850-900 over Goku's at the time, not to mention the saibaman self-destructing itself on Yamcha who was stronger than a single one. That is not always true.

Secondly, how is the moon busting feat not an outlier? Are you serious? The piccolo one is acceptable, as planet busting and such was right around the corner, but for early DB Master Roshi I think otherwise. First of all, King Piccolo was tired after destroying a city who is above 100% Roshi, which would already cause an inconsistency. While it can be argued that King Piccolo was only tired due to being old, the converse can be said for Master Roshi. Master Roshi blows up the moon barely tiring at such an old age, and King Piccolo is exhausted after the city bust. The logic simply doesn't stack.

Secondly, Master Roshi in 100% did the same attack several chapters ago, indicating he gave effort in the panel, and nothing states or implies the attack was different. All it did was destroy a mountain, bringing yet another reason this feat cannot be taken into account and is an inconsistency. DB was known for these gag feats and wasn't as serious as DBZ, i.e. Goku supposedly dodging solar flare yet taking so long to run across the snake way in dbz which was stated at 10 million km, general blue paralyzing those that look at him which would fall under a no limits fallacy and a hyperbole, the power pole going into space and saiyans cant breathe in space, etc. It, with the inconsistencies, can simply not be accounted for nor used to scale any later power levels upon.
