Yeah most of them do, well I am not really generalizing but apparently it's just becoming obvious, really. Since most teenagers/kids I meet tell me these awful lot of bands that are just, insipid and totally ****ing weird. Before anything, I'm into all sorts of music, to doom metal to satanic black metal. ;b
What inspired me to make this thread, well....So the other day me and my fiance were on my computer playing some music, now the thing we both are really into metal, so we were playing some old black sabbaths vol 4 cause my fiance hasn't heard that album and was interested due to the fact it's mostly doom metal, when my uncles daughter comes in (she's like 15) stands there and then says "ummm Why are you listening to such edgy music" I was ****ing done. Wtf? How is this even edgy? I proceed to ask her what she thinks is good, and hilariously she blasts on some emo mayday parade, as if that wasn't worse, throwing in some pierce the veil, and both me and my fiance were internally dying due to laughter.
Now Listen to what you like, I don't care and it doesn't really phase me, what annoys me is, is these kids going around burgeoning how these bands and artists are "OHH SO WOW" well kids, they're not.
This is really prominent in the hip hop genre tbh, now I refuse to believe how kendrick lamar, kid cudi, j cole are the best rappers, even accounting self preference, there are many better rappers, better lyricist than them, I barely meet anyone who thinks rappers like Big L, raekwon, RZA, jedi mind tricks, Rakim, inspectah deck, wu tang, MF doom and many more better then the ones mentioned.
