It depends. If a person feels internally tortured every waking moment of their life, and all treatments fail, is it not selfish of others to want to keep that person alive? To have constant mental anguish and no relief, to always be in pain without any way to cope, sounds almost inhumane.
There are many different motivations for a person to commit suicide, and I often find the method of execution to most often be the indicator of selfishness: getting hit by a train delays that train and it's cargo/passengers for hours; gunshot wounds or stab wounds leave a mess to be cleaned up; attempted suicides tie up medical resources; etc... Those who bring attention to themselves are basically issuing a cry for help.
Many factors need to be considered as to whether or not it is selfish, and I think it would have to be determined on a case by case basis. Too general of a question requiring too narrow of a brush for an answer.

as someone who suffered some years from depression, contemplated suicide, and even had a brother try to drink bleach to kill himself I would think I had insight into the issue. Anyway whatever u say bruh. :|
