The ninth Naruto movie Road to Ninja's story and character designs were made by the author, Kishimoto himself. Save the "non-canon" crap because if we talk logically, it's a fantasy/theoretical match-up between them in which Kishimoto hints Itachi is able to deal with Kamui. And if he does neutralize Obito's deus ex-machina, it's over. The scene which provides the questionable and yet distinctive scenario is here:

I'm prepared for troll comments and fanboyism, I just wanted to throw this out there, thanks.

Edit:

It is non-canon, it's not connected to the main story. Which is exactly why it's perfect because any fantasy match-up is non-canon as well. Catch my drift here? It's like Kishimoto made a start of the fantasy battle between them. And he hinted the rest.

The closest thing ?

Um first off, there is what obito said in the manga and this.

The movie is a parallel which is why this scene is included it reflects reality

So more like the second piece of evidence not the only nor is it the first.
This scene alludes to the fact that regardless of what form itachi takes he is a problem for anyone....which was stated in the manga by obito

Kamui is a great way of intercepting your opponent and capturing them........if they can pull it off to begin with it doesn't not automatically make the top ninja alive fodder it doesn't magically make his opponents stand still or make them forget that they have the ability to look behind them.

Come on people i know obito might be your favorite character but,use some damn brain power for once.

Then you should of realized when Obito uses the Kamui state in intangible form his body does not leave a ghostly shell, that's why it was non-cannon. Bruh

Romy listen mate!
That's why I stated "Obito doesn't leave a ghostly shell in intangible form.'

No one could depict Obito's intangible abilities from look alone because his body never leaves a shell, therefore that conversation would of never happened in the manga, therefore I said to you.

It.
Is.
Non.
Cannon.
lol

Someone tell me if I'm wrong. I'm pretty sure I'm right though.

Exactly. If it was a true deus-ex machina, Obito would've come victorious each time.

Minor details are everything if you can't see the bigger picture.

The bigger picture is the author's opinion on the matter. It's the most powerful argument at hand here.

mate, road to ninja is written by kishimoto himself.

I'm not saying that it doesn't matter. Yes I get that Kishimoto wrote this himself, what I'm pointing out is the flaw, that if Obito doesn't leave a shell in his body, that conversation would not have been intiated from that stand-point and view.

I mean it was made to be non-cannon, despite if Kishimoto made it himself. Meaning it's his story now and he can basically do whatever the hell he wants despite what happens in the manga.

Though by no chance am I supporting Obito > Itachi :l
