[Debate] Do any of you see america becoming third world in a near future?

A friend is talking about how America is becoming a third world. I disagree, at least not anytime soon

a third world? hell no its still the biggest super power there is with china a very close second. and its not impossible for a third world war to break out these conflicts have been going on for a long while but i really hope it doesnt happen.. i dont want my life to turn into fall out 3 or the walking dead.

Actually China is ahead of us now. Just recently. We are now #2. As for the US becoming a 3rd world country. I suppose it could happen but it is highly unlikely to happen anytime in the near future.

yeah i kinda thought it was possible for china to jump to num 1 in recent years we all knew it was bound to happen with the whole made in china thing. the only way america could become a third world country is if a war destroyed our country to an irepairable state

Impossible. You can guess as to which qualities America shares with 3rd world countries, but America will always remain a 2nd world country.

How can you uncolonize a country that had been colonized by a 1st world country? Can't undo the past. Even if the country goes down the drain and ends up just as bad as Africa (a 3rd world country), it will still be a 2nd world country.

I guess the Federal Bank Reserve is preventing the u.s. of a. from becoming a 3th world country. Just print more dollars, somehow not being affected as much by inflation.

China is barely ahead of us in Economy, that's it. They still have a long way to go in other places.

That is utterly bs. People are kept poor systematically to keep the elite on top. The poor work hard and again just a fraction

Highly doubtable for the next 500 or so years, absolutely impossible in the near future. I suppose if given enough time, their debt can stack so extensively that they end up having no external aid whatsoever, in which case they are screwed.

China is still considered a third world country because of all the poverty. I read an article that said China will surpass us as the superpower come 2050.
