Lol Pell surviving wasn't BS. He was found by a medical unit right after.

OT: Most likely yes, unless he gets healed or something.
You do know how an atomic bomb affects your body, right? It literally turns you into dust, especially if you're not more than a couple of meters away from it. Unless the bomb had less destructive power than some simple firework, or if that doctor had the ability to turn dust into living beings, it's nothing more than BS.

OT: I doubt he's dead.

Did anyone ever stated it was an atomic bomb?

No, but with its destructive powers, it was supposed to take down a whole city. People can lose limbs and fingers from firework, and you think someone could survive an explosion that big? It doesn't matter if it's an atomic bomb or not, you'd turn to dust either way.

So true U_U^^^ and even if he didn't turn to the dust the radiation would've killed him aswell.

Then why'd you say atomic bomb? Anyways, no it's possible. Pell's DF may of helped him escape the blast radius to the point where he won't die. Pell was pretty damn fast iirc and why make a big deal out of something that was explained? It's fiction, yes it's suppose to make some sense but we got an explanation as to how he survived. Surviving a bomb-blast isn't too far-fetched either seeing how a medical unit found him right after and Zoan's have improved physical abilities. It's not like we see him with no scars or anything.

Surviving explosions in my opinion isn't very surprising in manga.

But surviving being tossed up at speeds to send you through the clouds and colliding with razor sharp strings, comparable to swords, is.

I'd be surprised if he did.

No
Why would people not survive bombs?
They can survive lightning strikes, punches that can turn mountains to dust
We don't even know what kind of bomb it is, saying it is a nucleair one is just stupid. It's basically just energy released, similair to Sengoku his shockwaves, BB and Co did not turn to dust either
One Piece humans etc are just fundamentally different from us humans here in this world. U can't compare

You're right, except that people die from bullets, just like, you know, us humans outside the manga. That also means Vergo should definitely be alive, without a doubt, doesn't it? Your logic is terrible. If you don't want us to compare the characters to real humans, then why was this thread even made?

If you wanna talk like that then anime's shouldn't use real life logic then they should just make every character immortal since real life shouldn't be compared to anime. And no one is denying that people survive bombs but In pell case he should of died I think Oda made a mistake letting him live Lol.

Vergo wouldn't be able since he has no means of survival, not to mention Law sliced him up. He couldn't have escaped the blast and his body will stay there to rot.

This thread was made because Oda doesn't kill many characters but Doffy's strings have already been shown to slice through things tougher than a body like butter and we just saw Machvise get sent flying into them(yes INTO, read the panel and you see he screams, assumedly in agony). So I was asking to see which one people think Oda will back down on, are Doffy's strings that lethal and will Machvise die(Oda backing down on character living through crazy-ness) or will Oda keep Vise alive thus backing down on the hype of Doffy's strings.

Oh.... oh oh...

No. Hajrudin's last words before he fell unconscious explained it well:

"I guess he isn't flying anywhere, anytime soon.
Well, not like he's a bird or anything."

Assuming it as an indication that Mach didn't die, just badly injured.
Also, do notice that Mach had fell onto the ground while the subordinates rushed towards him in panic.

The Zoan's greatest strength is the insane durability the user gets.
I think its BS too but if its not a nuclear bomb he could be in one piece.

You do realize that the things Doffy has sliced through, such as metal, stone and wood, aren't tougher than many of the fighter's bodies? Luffy could shatter stone with his bare hands in Arlong arc, if you really think shit like that is gonna be tougher than Machvise's body, you have some rereading to do.
