Very true. 8 Gate is a certain death, but it is also a post-certain victory.
I mean Sasuke is strong don't get me wrong, but to say he can tank the 8th Gate and walk out is an extreme fapping level.

Actually during the Chunin Exams they mentioned that Rock Lee was a "genius" because of his mastery of the Gates, so yes he will defintely be more powerful then Gai-sensei. I mean he noticed his sensei's techniques back in the Madara battle so I'm postive he could incorporate more techniques of his own into the form in his limited time-frame.

Even if Lee died, he would certainly take Sasuke along with him. I mean anyone vs. Gates is destroyed considering the facts of how it is portrayed in the Manga, even Naruto too.

The first one is not an assumption. Gai fought Madara in his prime, does that mean Gai could not acheived his 8 Gate form during his battle with Kisame/Itachi? Of course he could, Gai never needed more training (for us as readers for character development) because he was already trained.

Have you even thought about it? GATES training is extremely lethal to the body, so of course training of the techniques/moves/and skills require first-base knowledge on the matters. Gai trained Rock Lee of the Gates mastery at a young age, it would not make sense for HIM not to surpass his sensei. Even in the War arc Lee knew the requirements for the 8th Gate, so of course he'll know how to activate it and use it.

Now see this is why I think you are wanking. Have you not heard of: Day Time Tiger, Leaf Dragon God, Night Guy, Evening Elephant and etc.

Sadly Rock Lee as you said was only shown activating the 6th gate, but as I've said many times there was no instances for Rock Lee to surpass that change and go forward. I mean side characters never get their time to shine, but it's clearly obvious that he should be. There is no barrier gap between 6th - 7th Gate, the only one that is impossible to activate without surviving is the 8th (Not considering NaruJesus to the rescue!)

- They never mentioned the limits on Rock Lee, he was only shown to use up to 6. I must say it's because they wanted to showcase Gai's abilites with the gates (Such as his 7th and techniques) then moving towards the 8th gate with his special abilities in the form. Logically, there had been literally no instances in the manga/anime that required Rock Lee to surpass the 6th gate and go full force. It was stated that he was a genius compared to Gai in Gates mastery, that alone from Kakashi should amount to how capable he is

Lee will win that's what you are not getting it. An 8 gate opponent means sure death for both sides, clear and simple. No matter who it is unless they are Kaguya or JJ Jin. The feats alone from Madara vs 8 Gate Gai should be alone to fix your opinion of it. Sharinngan Sasuke can kill Rock Lee in a second before any gate activation if he can teleport with something, I really don't see Sasuke killing Rock Lee before the 8th gate as Gai activated it in a second, literally. Genjutsu tho solos
