You guys downplay Kakashi alot.
He taught Team 7 the value of teamwork,and comraderie,whicb definitely had a big impact on Naruto and Sasuke who both went on to say what he said about his team being there precoius comrades.
He taught them the tree climbing excercise,which was all about chakra control/stamina.In the Chunin exams in order for Sasuke he extensively trained Sasuke so he wouldn't rely in the CM,and eventually go to Orochimaru.With Kakashi's help,Sasuke significantly developed,attaining Lee's High Speed Taijutsu + developing his lightning element for the first time ,and enough to be able to master the Chidori.
After going against Itachi,Sasuke's hatred increased and he lashed out againsg Sakura,Naruto,and Kakashi,read chapter 177,Kakashi words made Sasuke realize that he team was important and he would have been fine of the Sound 4 didn't show up.
As for Naruto,he taught him a genius training method which would help Naruto improve the most he ever did in a very short amount of time.Chapter 315,the Shadow Clone usage,which reduced the amount of time Naruto needed to learn techniques.Naruto also used it for his SM training.
Orochimaru had a bigger impact on Sasuke than Kakashi did.

>Got trained by him for two whole years and was able to fight on par with S ranked opponents
>Able to change his shape manipulation probably from Orochimaru's tutelage
>Revived Orochiamru so he could find some answer from the Hokages and help the SA
Please tell me what that boring stick in the mud Kakashi did that surpasses this when Sasuke wasn't even in the village for the whole entirety of Shippuden.
Even when it comes to Naruto, Jiraiya had a larger impact on Naruto's life than Kakashi.
Sakura is worse. Did Kakashi even bother to help her with her ninjutsu? Maybe if Kakashi has some damn sense and cared for her well being he would teach her a thing or two from his 1000 techniques that he supposedly has.
And people call him the best? Lol not even close. He is a failure of a sensei just like his teacher Minato. He is nothing special.
He grew up as an arrogant kid and then decided to change his ways because Obito slapped a Sharingan into his eye. Oh wow, so cool.
Like I said, there are much more dynamic and better characters than Kakashi and at least they have interesting stories to tell. Kakashi is not interesting at all.
Naruto developed far more with 3 weeks of training with Kakashi than 2 and a years and 8 months with Jiraiya (1 month Summoning technique training and 1 for Rasengan),the training method he introduced to Naruto allowed him to master the RS,which Minato had not even done.He also knew the Rasengan,and could have easily taught him,and Naruto would have learned it faster with the Shadow Clone experience training method.
Orochimaru was a negative influence who wanted to use Sasuke.If he stayed and trained with Kakashi,there's a good chance he would be just as strong as he was at the begining of part 2.We know how Sasuke was significantly stronger from just a month with Kakashi so 2 and a half years would be great aswell.
As for Sakura,she became Tsunade's student,Sakura willingly went to her to learn Medic Ninjutsu,etc.
