If you are talking about controlling summons with genjutsu, Jiraiya can just break them out. Sasuke's genjutsu is too weak for Jiraiya who would break himself out.

Chidori senbon is countered by needle jizo if used on Jiraiya and toad summons tank it with minimal damage.

Jiraiya can break himself out of Uchiha Genjutsu? Feats of Jiraiya's Kai? Don't see how you came to that conclusion. Jiraiya will now that summons are being controlled before it's too late? How exactly does he do that when he can't sense chakra flow? Bunta is controlled, acts like he's normal, and ends up letting Aoda bite him in the eye.

Orochimaru not taking him seriously doesn't help your situation. Orochimaru clearly states there's a marginal difference in strength between the two, it's possible that he used the truth to further antagonize Naruto. Just as possible as he was fibbing.
