How stupid is Kurenai?

For trying to beat a sharingan user with genjutsu? Like isn't it pretty much kindergarden knowledge in Naruto that sharingan genjutsu > all? Not any sharingan user at that either; the prodigy who mastered it at age 8.

Genjutsu is her speciality, and other than that she's pretty much useless. She obviously knew Itachi's genjutsu was superior but tried to distract him whilst kakashi counter-attacked. She won't just sit there and watch Kakashi fend for himself.

Or maybe you created this thread to once again bash another character because you feel the need to remind everyone that Itachi > Kurenai. The fact that you're creating this thread is disgraceful to the rather decent character Itachi. Man get off his D because fanboys like you riding it in the first place is what gave him AIDS.​

Because she's supposed to be a non retarded person, JOUNIN at that; a non retarded person wouldn't approach a sharingan user with genjutsu. Simple as that. :|

Kishimoto wrote it how the fight would take place, and so bashing a character for that reason is retarded.. Wiki clearly states Kurenai is a genjutsu expert. What else can she do besides genjutsu? Nothing. She took a chance and it failed. It's like Lee vs Gaara, but lee is restricted from taijutsu. What else can he do? he can't use ninjutsu. He'll be useless.​

No. It's the best visual Based genjutsu, but in front of genjutsu that uses different mediums like sound(tayuya, pa/ma), or mist(trollkage) it's pretty useless.

No man, you don't understand shit here. Kisame is genjutsu resilient because of his Samehada. They're both superior to her. Itachi was the kind one, kisame would have killed her. Itachi spared them both, especially kakashi since he could have ended his life via Tsukuymoi. You're really stupid aren't you?
