She obviously didn't know shit about samehada, therefore your argument falls again. She knew about sharingan, but not Samehada, therefore simple logic would be to approach the non sharingan user with genjutsu. :| @bold Funny, act like you're superior when your logic fails. Lol

And yeah, that was kind of my point, she should've tried it on Kisame instead of Itachi, the sharingan user, with the knowledge that she had.

2. Your statement "she should have just attacked Kisame" is totally unrealistic, if she knows Itachi is a genjutsu user it's very smart for her to fight him, as Asuma wouldn't stand a chance against him, he's not a genjutsu user after all, she knows how to counter it.

3. Kurenai is a very capable genjutsu user, she was praised by Itachi and the Second Databook (written by Kishimoto himself) says her skills are comparable to those of Itachi. It's him who writes the manga, not you.

4. And the fact that Chiyo said you should always fight a Sharingan genjutsu user in pairs, as you can't get out of the illusion, just demonstrates how strong she is, 'cause she broke out of it herself without any help.

Yeah, so what would have been your solution if you were in her position? Because I only can imagine 3 outcomes to this:

1. She fights Itachi, with whom she may stand a chance, and let the 2 swordsmen handle their fight.

2. She fights Kisame, the much bigger and scarier guy, and let Itachi inevitably kill Asuma, 'cause he doesn't know the first thing about genjutsu. At least she can break out of Itachi's genjutsu, which she did. So, that whole fuzz about the OP image is BS.

3. They both run away, because they're scared.

I'm sorry, but in my opinion she did the right thing. They both would have died, obviously, but at least they did their best. She stood up against a genjutsu master and got even praised by him. End of story.
