Seriously if you are to think of the movie logically as a manga continuation of what should have been Naruto should have approached Hinata right after SS happened and we could see them laughing together and going put on dates and all tat.It took moons crashing,Hanabi kidnapped,Genjutsu,tea,biscuits,scarves,spider webs,Sakura's love wisdom,Toneri torturing Hinata to have Naruto love her

OT: Its out of Hinata's character to go and ask something to Naruto that frankly. She is the shy type. And it seems that u know nothing about the shy types. They will worry over a thing for hours/days but will never take the initiative to ask someone about it. They will often think, "What if he/she misunderstands?" In other words they are quite complex and don't like being too frank. Now don't tell me that girls like that don't exist.
