Doesn't look like she was off drowning her tears to me and even if she did go off and cry it still defeats the purpose of even asking why she didn't ask Naruto when (LIke someone said earlier) it's out of character for her do something like that. Hinata has to be one of the most calm, quiet, nicest and reserved characters in this manga and if she was just to ask him it would be quite odd.

How often do you see those scenes where a woman sees her love interest do something she misinterprets and she never actually goes to talk to him about that, even if he screams, "I can explain!"?

If it were me, oddly I'm actually too stupid to jump to conclusions. I probably wouldn't have actually assumed anything since I take everything literally, and my thought process wouldn't go further than, "He's wearing a scarf". And yes, I am blonde.
