Pein/nagato will always be my 2nd favo character. He can't get hated outside the trolling imo.

Pretty much that. Most fan favorites characters have a pretty solid "hatebase" (Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Hinata) But Pain is generally well liked.
He was after all, the mais antagonist on the (in my opinion) best arc of Naruto.

[Neji Hyūga2]

Neji's has always been my favorite character. I started watching Naruto when it first aired on Toonami and from there on I watched on until I got to the point where I watched subbed episodes then onto the manga. The second Neji was introduced he was my favorite. I just enjoyed the abilities he had on top of that I liked how his character developed from the cocky person who thought you are ruled by destiny to the person who cared about people and still acted cool and started to believe that you're the only that controls your own destiny. That is why he was my favorite from back then and still is now.

Sasuke is my favorite character from beginning to end.

Part 1 - Sasuke the whole way through, took a liking towards neji & itachi/akatsuki as well.

Part 2 - Hebi sasuke until the akatsuki/obito showed up as tobi, found him interesting until he made his transformation, then he became my favorite along with hebi sasuke. But once MS sasuke appeared my liking towards him dipped while my liking towards itachi increased.

I had an interest in the series, largely due to Zabuza. But I couldn't really say I liked anyone or found it too engaging. But, when Orochimaru first showed up. . He just dominated everything he was in. He really made me a fan of the show. Up until chapter 508 he was neck and neck with Kisame as my fav.

Naruto. Always has been my favorite, always will be.

However, I used to be a really big Zabuza fan. I still got love for him, but ever since characters like Minato, Hashirama, Jiraiya, Shikamaru, etc were fleshed out, he took a backseat. Still in my top 15 though.

Hebi Sasuke was ubelieavably awesome...
But MS Sasuke.... Ugh...
