8 tails was an half unforseen consequence. She tried to help him, we knew she would fail so we expected a reaction from naruto. A trigger pulled, to reverse the fight but not to that extant ( Oh and it was 6 tails when she got stabbed, the other ones came gradually)

When Sakura acted cocky thinking she had what it takes to tank Madara for noodle and SAuce ( I like those nicks, thanks for the discovery), there was only one consequence if naruto didn't saved her: defeat and death for her and higher the risk of death for both his team mates, who would mean the end.

IMO she gets more hate than she deserves especially after the ending.

I see many people bashing Sakura for being "useless", but let's be honest, Sakura did an amount of useful things, to me it's unfair to see how she gets so much hate.

-She gave all of herself to defend Naruto and Sasuke when they were unconscious during the Forest of Death arc.
-She became Tsunade's disciple and now is the best medical ninja of Konoha
-She fought Sasori, an Akatsuki member, when she was just 15 years old and won.
-She was te responsible for finding information about Orochimaru by beating Sasori, which allowed Team 7 to have their first reunion with Sasuke after 2.5 years.
-During the Pain arc she saved a young girl and an elder from one of those Pain's Giant Centipede by killing it.
-She was leading the medical front during the Pain invasion. She healed countless people.
-She was smart enough to notice the Zetsu disguised as Neji and beautifully punched him when he tried to attack her.
-During the war arc, she released her seal, punched the ground, destroyed it and kicked some clone's asses
-She saved Naruto when his ass was kicked by Madara.
-She gave all of her chakra and almost collapsed to save Sasuke.
-She punched a God in the head.
-She healed Sasuke and Naruto in chapter 699.

And she isn't from a noble clan neither got an asspull power up. Everything she did was on her own.
