It wasn't his fight so there was no reason to show his full power. Its not about him or the other captains, its about Ichigo vs. Aizen, so nothing important is going to be shown from the other captains.

Besides, Unohana is the strongest captain aside from Yama-jii anyway.


One a side note, if Aizen has been using his powers this entire time, why hasn't Ichigo been put under hypnosis?

aizen has to release his shikai to hypnotise ppl. after its released he can influence what they see/feel

since hes obv been affecting every1 for a reasonable period of time, ichigo comes along and hes probly considered that

keeping hypnotized the SS captains > hypnotising ichigo...

afterall even aizen couldnt possibly predict the uber plotkai that will somehow be his commupance

Only Aizen and Yamamoto have a higher average on all the shinigami skills than her. Of course there is more to battle than only those skills as Zaraki's stats are incredibly low because he doesn't know kido, still it gives you a clear image that she scores very high on all fields. Higher than all the other captains outside the previous mentioned two.

Same with Naruto. Naruto has 26 power index or whatever, whereas kakashi has one of the highest - 34.5 .

I've completely convinced myself that if anyone dies, Orihime'll just bring them back, correct? I mean, it kinda does take that suspense thing out of it, knowing that they'll be back, but I don't think anybody will die anyway. Nobody's ever died before. I've been wondering the same thing...

because you have to see the actual process of the release of the shikai to be under his hypnosis. Aizen cleverly made every one in soul society see it, and so he can completely hypnotize them at will, all except ichigo.

What I dont understand is why ichigo was just standing there while the captains stabbed hinamori. He wasnt under the spell, shouldnt he have seen what was going on

In the turn back the pendulum arc it shows clearly that Kyoraku and Ukitake are scared of Unohana, perhaps because of her secret strength? Also, where is Unohana?! She followed Ichigo back but hasn't been seen!
