I can't seem to recall seeing Itachi going through strings of handsigns though, correct me if I'm wrong.

I think Obito fearing itachi was just a lie for BZ.
As madaras will BZ probably was annoying and it seemed that they had some cooperation problems that BZ even used kabuto to play madara card on him.

Its is also strange that Obito being a leader sent itachi after kyuubi knowing full well he was all about konoha as well as inviting him in first place.

This said Obito has always had some plan using itachi and having a fact that Obito also was spying on sasuke since VoTE, he probably wanted 2nd madara as his ally.

Itachi is surely a strongest shinobi of his time but he can't defeat obito or current top 10 shinobis

Itachi was a danger for obito as he can't go full against shinobi nations because itachi was a spy in akatsuki so he can't let his plans get leaked so early. That's why after getting 7 tail beasts and itachis death, he ordered pain to attack konoha and revealed his plans to kages.

Danger in terms of strength depends on itachis condition. With blindness and illness itachi wasnt a threat to obito.

The problem with your reasoning is that it' mixed by your fanfiction. Kakashi's and Minato's speed of making seals wasn't elaborated canonically, whereas Itachi's was. Kakashi was amazed at his speed and stated that he couldn't follow it with a Sharingan.

There are a lot of differences between you and me, but that is not one of them. Lol

Anyone who has read any of your posts involving Itachi or even just skimmed through this thread knows that your views on him are far from "realistic". The thread is not about whether he can defeat Obito. As a matter of fact Itachi is a top ten shinobi with the Ōtsutsuki family excluded and pseudo gods removed. And with them he makes top 15, which is still nothing to be ashamed of.​
