I think this is why so many people disapprove of the recent focuses in the movie and the final manga chapter.
Kishi is going so off base with stuff he underdeveloped and ignoring what this manga is actually about. He could pull it off, but the focuses on the love story is probably going to take away focus from what people read Naruto for.
I mean it's his manga, he can do what he wants, but it's usually not considered good writing to switch gears so randomly at the resolution of a story.
Well if they have been told countless times that this movie will focus primarily on romance, why are people still acting surprised?
I get it's a switch from what they originally read but it's not like Kishimoto never made it clear what the movie was about. It was made obvious from the moment it was announced yet people want to still walk around and cry about it. This fandom just likes to complain and whine about things in general.
Half of the things people even want tied up in the manga isn't even relevant, things like what was Yamato's name or Kakashi's face but when something that I'm sure everyone pretty curious about(Who ends up with who) it becomes a big deal when he dedicates a movie about what happened to have those pairings occur especially this is the first time he has done this. Hell the fandom would've complained if spent a extra few chapters instead of a movie.
There were was a great deal of fans who were really into the romance aspect of Naruto as well so it's only natural that he does his best to try and please them being that it hasn't got the most attention in the manga(Because Naruto isn't about who is f-cking who).
