Top Three Anime Villains

I'm simply curious in what you all think the top 3 villains in terms of not only villainy but also by simply the best written characters that ended up on the bad side of the law

My list is as follows:

1. Johan Liebert

3. Izaya Orihara
(Durarara)

If you have seen these anime's the reasons are clear if not I encourage you to go watch, (manga panel for Johan because i liked the quote there is an anime obviously) As they each make the anime they are in and now for your opinions?

I agree with Izaya, I haven't been able to get deep into Monster so I'll hold off on Johan and not into Psycho Oass so I don't know that guy, just off my head though

This is a villain with no background, no reason why he became evil, is bold and wears lipstick

To you and all those who ask for light, Try as you might to add him to the all time greatest list for pure intelligence he just didn't have the charisma and ideology that these guys have, to be qualified as a top tier villain. I mean come on in the end his idea for the world was rather cliche.

In fact its the exact opposite of what Makishima was trying to achieve as lights dream world was basically the world that Makishima already lived in; Woah thats a cool parallel

Anyways what did Light have going for him besides crazy tactical intelligence and a supernatural power helping him out, all these guys used their own means of wreaking absolute havoc across their own respective societies that didnt use the power of something else...


Light is not a top tier villain

Izaya's definitely the best character in the series, but I wouldn't call him THAT good a villain. I did enjoy Makishima a lot, but I wouldn't call him Top 3 either. I'd replace them with Light Yagami and either Griffith from Berserk or The Major from Hellsing Ultimate.

Ugh I suppose it was personal preference that Didn't place the Major on here I just didn't find him all that interesting

Replaced with light? Griffith I hear good things about but light? No way he's such a pitifuly written character for a villain imo how does he even compete with Makishima character wise?

Izaya's extremely complex if you take the time to look at it .-. With so much depth why shouldn't he be top 3? Ugh but I guess the Major was a really good villain and character >.> With his whole humanity thing
