Is it just me or would Kishi have a better story if he revolved "Naruto" around Itachi, not that naruto wasnt good but i still think it would recieve alot of hype since it'd be about a badass reall nxgga. And yeah, he eventually "betrays" the village and goes rogue as a member of akatsuki.

And ofcourse no more asspulls!

So to clear it up its still basically the same storyline except its in itachi's point of view, but of course with a few changes so that his death wouldn't be too early or if anything itd be in the final episode of the series.

No, although One Piece probably would have been better if it had revolved around Zoro and not some random, dildo farm boy who wanted to be "King of the Pirates!" -_-

Those two fodders aren't responsible for the manga being the way it is. It's Madara and Hashirama. Obito wouldn't even be alive if it weren't for Madara by the way.

Itachi is a character defined primarily by proxy. Sasuke's memories of him, Obito telling Sasuke about him, Zetsu taunting Sasuke about Itachi, Danzo telling Sasuke about Itachi. I mean god, does Itachi ever define himself without someone else there to quarterback his backstory?

He did in the war arc to Naruto and Sasuke with his advice as well as Kisame in his backstory or somewhat during the fight with Sasuke and their flashbacks together.
