@Yami no tensei: What makes that music good to you though bro? They all have different styles.
The ones were you can let lose, swing your head around, jump around, hands in the air, laid back attitude, awesome guitar playing, bandanas, long hair, etc.

My life belongs to metal and Rock n' Roll.......I'm not a satanist tho. Dem conspirators.

Technology yea (some stuff is just so complicated though), but the music (newest) now is horse shit.....in my opinion. I buy no new music. Old rap is better than new rap. All music was better back then.

Better music is made in the world, music's just been going through a weird evolution phase starting around 2006.

It was American idol that ruined it, artists aren't made they're born and become.

Back then, the girls loved the Beatles and now they love gay erection and gay wiener. Not all though. The electronic shit is not even music ( in my opinion). It's just a bunch of erratic sounds that needs no skill what so ever. I rarely see any good music now.

True, but the world also moves so much faster because of the internet. There so much music out there beyond that.

That's just what people like for some reason, and the people govern what artists are successful money wise.

We don't want get to far ahead of ourselves, we don't want a skynet incident to happen :| it's hard to find the good music, because it's not global, but local.

All of those bands you posted are global though. John Lennon left the Beatles because all of the concerts were so drowned out on screams that they couldn't hear themselves at all.

Nirvana is in the rock and roll hall of fame, they had multiple world tours before Kurt died. Most people in the world know who metallic or the rolling stones are.

Atleast the beatles were far better than Justin bieber. Most fans are wannabes when it comes to there favorite music. I asked a girl my age in my class if she new who Metallica was, she didn't know who I was talking about. I also asked here if she knew who Green day or linkin Park was, she Didn't know. Thats a Tiny minority though.

There was a group of college students (American) that were asked questions about thing like, which country did whe separate from, who won the civil the war, etc. None answered correctly. When answered questions about celebrites (current), they new them all. Some of the new generation is genuinely....I can't find the right words. I my self am sixteen and acknowledge these facts.

Even though The Beatles are leagues ahead of Beaver, they weren't particularly talented.

None of the artists within their bracket of fame and popularity were ever famous for their talent, but for revolutionizing mainstream music and/or bringing new elements into the mainstream.

As for the group of College students, nothing has changed. It would have exactly the same 30-50 years ago, the majority of girls obsessing with the famous artists of their time but knew very little about the world around them. The new is in reality, no worse off.

Er, no.

You're just purposely avoiding looking at music as art, and being a "wannabe" wiseacre; but the opposite is in effect.
Err no.
It reeks of elitism when holding pop music to the same standards of rock.
Ironically, the rock that nearly everyone OTT jacks off to, is a product of pop culture any ways.

I view music as art, thank you very much.

The definition of real music is ambiguous (since peoples taste differ) and not only that, it has been watered down over the years, it changes depending on the generation.

I think that's true though singing contests butcher some song, however in everything there are a few exceptions.
