[Discussion] Can Zoro beat luffy in a fight??

Ok lets look at the fight with Mihawk vs Luffy at marineford now obviously we know Mihawk is miles above zoro in terms of swordsmanship and strength but lets not get into that right now U_U you still with me?. Ok well now basically my point is this Luffys fighting style is a bad match up for someone like Zoro's fighting style because Luffy stretches out his arms alot when hes fighting which is an advantage for a skill swordsman such as Zoro because he can just cut off his arms as he is stretching them out to attack you get it now?:leaf:

So what? Luffy is able to put haki around his damn body, even when it's strechted and the other thing is his speed. Zoro can't hold up with the speed of Luffy, which means the disadvantage you talk so big about isn't really a big thing.

Zoro is a tier above Sanji. I don't have proof but my gut feeling tells me he is just a tiny bit below Luffy.
Let's wait till the manga approves of my insight.

Good example of the Mihawk fight, it was in that fight that Luffy used CoO to notice that Mihawk would be cutting off his arms. SO Luffy was able to sense the intention of the WSS.

Also have you seen what Sabo did to the Sharkcutter of VA Bastille.

Haki is a solid defense against swords.

if you are haki professional but luffy just knows the basics didnt you watch his fight with hody , that fish was able to get through his haki even luffy admitted it and if hody can do that zoro can precise his haki for sure but the question is well zoro`s attacks e able to catch luffy or not and luffy`s speed is the key factor of his winning here

Brook is only fast for his level or beloq. Generally when he fights someone above his lvl, his speed is meaningless and he is on the contrary sometimes the one who get outspeed by the opponent. For example in thriller bark, Brook had blinding speed against fodders and other small details, but when it came down to fight zombie Ryuma(not serious at that), he is the one who could not keep up, someone who Zoro could easily keep up with when serious, so i think Brook's speed isn't that great a factor at a certain lvl

I believe Oda has stated that in the straw hat crew Zoro is the Busoshoku haki specialist, Sanji the Kenbonshoku and Luffy the Haoshoku and so on....so yeah he most probably can cut through Luffy's haki U_U. And also if you read what I said above you would see that Ive said these things are only possible if Zoro could keep up with Luffy's speed U_U...Which IMO can be countered with his reactions U_U but thats another story.

Yeah I remember that U_U and I agree that haki is a strong defense against swords. But the reason why Sabo could break Sharkcutter like that was because Bastille wasnt a skilled enough swordsman nor was he sufficient at using haki like other swordsmen. You think if Sabo used that sword breaking technique on someone like Mihawks black blade it would work? exactly no.U_U. Mihawk being a skilled swordsman that he is would know to apply his own haki to protect his swords because if he can go up against someone like shanks Mihawks haki should be able to resist or even overcome someone of Sabo's caliber because thats the difference between their strength. Bastille was just incompetent its not every sword haki can defend against it depends on the user of the sword own strength aswell thats what Im trying say incase you missed it.

Those comparisons are pretty much useless after EL arc as the gap b/w Zoro and Luffy has gotten smaller during the very next arc.

I don't remember saying otherwise but the point is the gap b/w Sanji and Zoro is not small from what we have seen.
