I'm really not surprised at this at all. We can all wallow in self-pity about this story, but we have to come to the realization that this world is messed up to a degree mont explainable by numbers. Something like this is meagre compared to the various atrocities happening daily. Obviously what this child went through was absolutely terrible, but besides talking about it, what can we do? The Father is mainly at fault given he is a disgrace to humanity. The sister did all she could given the circumstances. But the social workers had all the time in the world to save this child, but instead waited it out for no good reason at all.
@Called a Genius and this whole topic that spawned
Man, I get why you're like how you are, but playing the righteous act is not the way you should be going about it. Neither is playing the pseudo-messiah act but then calling yourself scum. It's contradictory in every regard. You came to a realization and your life was bad. We get that. But that doesn't mean you have to wallow in self-pity and feel like you need to reach people. Going through things like that should mature you; not make you feel like you have to change everything. Nobody, not even the richest person in the world with the most outreach has the power to change the world. No matter what you do, your impact will always be minuscule, even if your intentions are pure. I say re-evaluate yourself because your way of thinking is slightly flawed. When you and me were talking you completely discounted my points and pulled that act yet again. Mainly "what if their life caused them to do that and who are you to say that?" I answered that. I knew the people, but you continued to regurgitate the same things over and over even when I gave you an answer that completely reflects the situation and trumps your point of view.
