HE has the hype of stopping the Kaido a fellow Yonko from killing WB with no struggle which would automatically put him above Kaido.
Exactly
The fact that he came to MF w/o any scars prove that there was no fight at all. A Yonko fight would be like Akainu vs Kuzan and the winner would then get killed by another Yonko who would take advantage of it.

Shanks most likely had a small clash and Kaido decided that it would be troublesome to fight Shanks and then again fight in MF

And dude just look at DD's character and dont you find it strange that he is scared of Kaido?

DD even claimed he rather face an Admiral than Kaido

We don't know how things went, so you can't use that as a mean to hype Shanks

What do u mean by how things went? There was a statement about Shanks fighting Kaido and as I said before everything that happened afterwards clearly supports that claim.

Even if we assume that they didn't fought and Shanks offered him something over the head of WB then it means that Kaido was forced to accept that offer because nothing from Shanks can replace the value of head of WB. He gains more than anything Shanks can offer by taking WBs head but he choose to accept his offer because he knew that he would be f**ed if he fought against Shanks. He is inferior to Shanks even going by this logic and remember that Kaido most likely has a fleet with him as he was planning to take on WB and his fleet where as Shanks has only one battle ship yet he stopped Kaido which again explains the difference in their status.

I don't remember any portrayal suggesting that Yonko are near equals like Admirals so this argument is pretty much useless here.

Shanks has single battle ship and Kaido most likely has a fleet because he was planning to take out WB. Shanks is also a yonko like WB so killing Shanks is same as killing WB. He could have forgot about killing WB and kill Shanks insted but he didn't .Even though he has more forces to support him which means that he was scared to fight Shanks.

Kaido means not just Kaido he has a crew and shit to support him so there is nothing to surprise about.

Don't u remember MF? Warlords,BBs crew, WG and WBs crew members, Shanks challenged all of them with single battle ship but no one tried to lift a finger.

Like aqeel said, there was no point in fighting Shanks especially when he wasn't even his primarily target(his target being WB). The simple fact he wanted to attack WB(strongest man in the world) already shows he has nothing to fear about the likes of Shanks. The problem however is that he likely knew he couldn't handle 2yonkous. Even if he defeated Shanks, he would probably be in a pitful state not enough to chase down Whitebeard's head later on. Not to mention another yonkou level fighter(Big Mom) or close to it may even take advantage of this to finish him off. Why do you think yonkou never fight each other? The one who makes the first move would also be the first/second to go down by the hand of another. Kaido refusing to fight Shanks doesn't mean anything concerning the difference in their strength

His goal is to take out WB a fellow Yonko and why do u think he wanted to take him out? Yes, to take over WBs territories and make himself superior and he can achieve the same by killing Shanks.

The simple fact he wanted to attack WB(strongest man in the world) already shows he has nothing to fear about the likes of Shanks.

The simple fact that he tried to kill him after his battle with whole marine force proves that he's too weak to challenge WB in his normal condition and we know what Shanks alone did during his meeting with WB.

That second part is a joke, If he doesn't care about him then why did he quit his objective because of Shanks?

The problem however is that he likely knew he couldn't handle 2yonkous. Even if he defeated Shanks, he would probably be in a pitful state not enough to chase down Whitebeard's head later on.

As I explained above to the other dude, He can take Shanks head instead of WBs. Regardless of whether it is WB or not ,Killing a fellow Yonko means a lot for him.

He didn't cared about that stuff while preparing to fight WB and his fleet but he suddenly thinks about BM to face Shanks with Single battle ship?hmm
