Why is Naruto a neglectful father?

He knows how to use Kage Bushin for Heaven's sake! He can have one shadow clone(or 10) do the paperwork,two to attend the boring meetings that he doesn't really need to be at(like meeting the Daimyo, I mean who takes that guy seriously?). Whenever nothing really important is happening, he can make clones do his job and spend time with his kids!

Even if he needs to be at work, he can send a clone to play with his kids. I mean something is better than nothing! That way Hinata could still be a kunoichi.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough, I meant that the clone should do Naruto's jobs while he pays attention to his kids. Only if it's something really important he can't miss,like the Kage Summit or a council meeting, he should go. I mean, it should be fairly easy for him to take out at least 2 hours a day to at least talk to his kids.
I mean, Naruto of all people should understand that his kids need both their parents.

About Sarada: Sasuke's always loved his family(his mom,his dad,his brother) more than anything else. That's why he went down that horrible path. You would think he'd appreciate the family he has left. Especially after Talk no Jutsu.

That sounds about right. In one of Kishi's interviews he says that he sacrifices time with his children for the manga. The interview even said that he didn't get to have his honeymoon yet and that he's planning to do it right after Naruto finishes.

He did that because he was Sasuke's best friend and a true friend.It still doesnt change the fact that he had to sacrifice a lot for it

Look that was just one panel. I don't see whats the big deal about it? I mean there are a lot of things that could have been done logically. But they just didn't, because the author himself never wanted to. We will get better understanding of there life style in part 3.

Kishimoto is not writing Part 3 so its possible its not canon

Also lets be realistic there were much better father son scenes which could have been done there.After all this is supposed to be a happily every after ending

I never thought of that parallel. During his interviews, he does talk like he sees himself as Naruto.
After all of this, I don't think Boruto will want to become Hokage. I mean, the post of hokage is why his dad doesn't pay attention to him.
