Naruto Manga Chapter 699 & 700 Discussion

All those long comments done by people really sum up my feelings!!!!

Im so disappointet about the ending, the last 2 Chapters are way too fast. And there are so many questions unanswered...kishi could have done it all better in the end. But he pushed it so hard to the end...i mean since naruto ended and naruto shippuuden began, naruto was barely able to gain powers just a little time after time, then war breaks out and in just a few weeks or months he improves that much? the fight between sasuke and naruto was a joke, and when or how is naruto going to become hokage, and what is he doing as hokage the hole day? Ball Scratching? since the would isnt in trouble anymore and everyone is in peace?...save the flashbacks and give some hints...year after year the series surprised me again and again and now it seems kishi got impatient

Don't you think he setting the stage for the last movie too? Lots more will be revealed then

I am disappointed at Naruto saying Sakura is his GF in front of his dad and saying he'd pick someone like Kushina, only to pick Hinata.

I am disappointed at Kakashi's Hokage reign having abolutely no information behind it. You don't even see him with the Hokage hat.

I am mad at how Naruto looks about 12 years into the future. He doesn't remotely look like Minato or this

I am mad at how easily Sakura forgave Sasuke. She doesn't have the same link with him as Naruto does. While Naruto can understand what Sasuke did and why it's mind boggling to suggest anyone else can. They're basically telepathic twins.

All around I feel it was underwhelming and too short.

the reason they didnt show Kakashi to much as the hokage is because that period of time while he is hokage is the setting of the new movie its set when Naruto is 19 and not yet Hokage so all those points you made will more then likely be addressed

the only tiny little thing i have is i was hoping they would finally show whats under Kakashi's mask was hoping we would see but eh thats not a major issue

I honestly can't believe it's over. I was waiting yesterday, like most of you, with a nod in my throat... excited about the upcoming chapter, but at the same time sad that it will be over after it. Now, i'm sitting here, reading all the comments on the series finale, thinking about all the good times it had...

You see him with it in the movie though. The movie is a prequel to chapter 700, so I'm guessing all loose ends will be tied up.

Nice to see how Naruto finally became hokage! xd I really enjoyed the last two chapters. I'd give it a 5/5, obviously. Well done, Kishi. And I still can't believe this manga is already completed.

So much on most people's positive comments in the finale. I really don't wanna spoil the fun but for me, I am not satisfied with the ending. I think the story was rushed and Kishi didn't elaborate how Konoha people and other shinobis accepted Sasuke and some other things that should be seen in details.
Throughout Shippuden, Naruto and the others were convicing Sasuke to go back then just a "magic" word and Sasuke went being kind like how he was before, its like he's been brain washed. I am expecting more twist and a heart warming ending. I mean for 15 years, an ending like that aint worth it. Though I'm glad Naruto and Hinata were together in the end and I guess I am just like this because I don't want Naruto to end yet >_>

To those who come here to complain I encourage you to sit and think through all the years you spent sitting in front of your screen watching this marvelous story unfold. I was in junior high when this series started , and right now after travelling through so many countries dating so many women done so many deeds changed jobs and now married with a child of my own I loved and cherished every minute I sat alone and read this manga. Of course it has flaws but what in this life doesnt?
If anyone told me when this manga started that it would spawn so many webs, grow its storyline so exponentially I would have found it hard to believe. Like a fine story-teller and artist Kishimoto has connected educated and entertained a lot of kids and adults to story, art, and reading (much like the Harry potter franchise) .Its very creative with all the jutsus and wars and and loss and hatred and deceit and betrayal and comedy and leadership and faithfullness and greatness and followership and friendship and LOVE and so much.
To those who are not content with the ending I understand your dissapointment (set so high by the series itself).
I just want to thank Kishi and The Base and other sites for their diligence and hard work. I realsied over the years the great work you all put to making sure people like me can access this story. Every one whose comments on the base made me laugh so much. The trolls ... You too
I havent written much about Naruto....
I sit here and remember the first time I read through the manga...

We do have a movie coming that will most likely fill in the gaps between 699 and 700, since it's a prequel to 700, so I don't think it's okay to say just yet how we feel about certain things because we haven't been given all the information.
