For the record, that bomb wouldn't have wiped out Naruto and Sasuke. Minato had it, just because Tobirama got there first doesn't mean minato wasn't.

Whether Minato would've regenerated is also unclear, because no one really knows exactly how Onmyoudon works.

And without minato they would have no chance of surviving however long they did against juubito

Fail dude. Obito would have never became juubi jin if itachi was there so getting hit by truth seeking balls wouldn't even been a matter to deal with.

And how do you figure that? The Hokages used the barrier to keep the Juubi contain and stop it from using tbb on them, no Tobirama means no barrier as they said only the Hokages can use it. Ton of Mini Juubi's would be attacking the alliance instead of being contained in the barrier. How is Itachi even going to get close to the Juubi when Sasuke used his snake and Naruto used Gamagichi to get in close range to throw their attacks at it? Final Susanoo which contains Totsuka blade and Yata mirror is slow and Itachi would be held up by the many mini Juubis as Sasuke's snake was slipping pass them and Naruto was jumping over them to not be caught up fighting them.

The barrier stopped the Juubi's tbb which hit the Juubi in its explosion but no barrier means it has to be warped by Minato or Tobirama and it can keep firing a few more before Hashirama manages to hold it down

Also Obito appeared back there shortly after and got slashed by Minato, they thought they stopped him and he pulled a wool over everyone but Naruto who've seen the seal for reviving others so Obito would still become the Juubi Jin so sorry no fail there. Also Madara just sat there and let then try, you think he wouldn't be interest in stopping them if they got too close to stopping him? He wasn't really worried one bit and had backup plans in case something did go wrong. If Madara sees Totsuka blade and Yata mirror then nothing stopping him from using Deva path and taking the weapons for himself.

Also if Itachi knew the seal, he wouldn't be fighting but upholding the barrier and he has low chakra and we seen Edo's run out of chakra and not get it back for a good while such as Minato so it's not instant or infinite reserves. So again, there would be Juubito since Itachi would be like the Hokages and put the safety of others first while sending a team to attack within. Itachi can send a clone but that would half his reserves and Totsuka and Yata aren't going to be copied as Naruto's TSB weren't copied and even if it was he would still have trouble getting close since Naruto and Sasuke would already be using their attack which they thought would work then Minato would hit Obito which that thought would work.

Totsuka blade and Yata mirror are ephemeral weapons... those spirit weapons have no form. You don't just "hand them away".

The weapons are kept by making a blood contract with seals. Itachi just found the scrolls containing those seals. If those weapons are with Itachi, they are gone with Itachi. You don't pass them on, lol.

Also, why do you hate Sasuke so much? You basically just implied that he needs Totsuka and Yata to be useful.

Funny how Tobirama is responsible for the worst part of this war, since he created the Edo Tensei jutsu. If it weren't for Tobirama, Madara would have never been able to come back and ruin the world so much.

Where did it say the Totsuka blade and Yata mirror were blood contract seals? The Totsuka blade is in a gourd that can be given and the actual sword is a liquid like blade. Both have to be physical weapons for them to be held on to by Susanoo which is a physical manesfastation of chakra. It said Orochimaru was looking for the Totsuka blade but could never find it and that its a variation of Orochimaru's sword that cuts so why would Orochimaru look for something if he can't use it himself? We know the Yata mirror can change its properties even spiritual or physical as well so both should be passable but Itachi wasn't going to give those weapons to Sasuke who was talking about destroying Konoha.

Also can't really blame Tobirama for this, he created the jutsu during war time which prevents his comrades deaths by using unkillable zombies. Kaguya fault for taking the God tree's fruit and passing on chakra if anything. Madara said himself that because chakra was taken from the God tree people who fought before they had chakra, took what was suppose to connect them and used it to fight even more.

For one they wouldn't know about Juubiti using yin yang and that it could kill them, he can't use the barrier since it was said only the Hokages could use it, he wouldn't have been able to do anything to stop the TSB from exploding killing Sasuke and Naruto, Tobirama's FTG mark wouldn't be on Juubito so they wouldn't have hit him with the Enton+FRS, no hitting him with Naruto's SM Rasengan, oh and no giving Kabuto advice to save Sasuke so Sasuke dies by Madara stabbing him.

Itachi have lower chakra reserve as an Edo, he wouldn't keep Susanoo up after his chakra is out and Obito being faster them him would result in Itachi getting killed since they wouldn't know that getting hit from the TSB can kill the Edo's. Same for Minato then Naruto and Sasuke die. From Juubi putting up the barrier and killing everyone inside it. Sasuke was planning on taking Juugo and Naruto and do what he did against Deidara but they'll be caught in IT and still lose. Also Yang Kurama was out/low on chakra at that point so Minato dying takes Yin Kurama out who lend Yang Kurama chakra 2 times in that fight.

You wouldn't need to teleport people away and waste so much chakra since Itachi had the Yata.

Also, with Kyuubi enhancements Itachi would completely rape the whole scene.

It would basically be Totsuka > Sword of obnywuonko

Totsuka would pierce through the omnyoudon shield and extract the juubi/bijuu chakras out of Obito.

That means there was also no means for madara to solo the bijuus into himself, since they would've been trapped eternally.
