It actually causes 40 damage O^O

Minato then smiles as Jugram gives him the answer. It was well done, they still had a long road though. Minato then threw a scroll with some writing on it. It explained the jutsu, in case Jugram needed it again one day.

"The jutsu you just learned!"

Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: The user does the necessary handseals and focuses chakra into the rain, the rain draws together and forms several bullets of rain. The "bullets" fall at an accelerated rate and feel like large rocks falling from the sky.

"Now, the next one. A pretty basic technique, where you will form the necessary hand seals, and place out your hands in front of you. Then, you will use your Rain based chakra to gather up a large amount of Rain and create a wall of solid water in front of you. Your hands are connected to it though, so be weary of Lightning and such. It is a great supplementary technique, use it against my clone's weak Taijutsu!"

Minato then creates a clone that runs towards Jugram with great speed.
40 damage per drop. Damn D:

Weaving the necessary hand seals I release suiton chakra into the rain falling as your clone charges at me and prepares to strike me with a high kick to my chest. Quickly I outstretch my arm after completing the hand seals needed for the technique and cause the rain to condense and gather on my arm creating a solid wall of rain water that meets your clone causing his kick to strike the wall instead of me.

Nice technique I suppose. It does require 'handseals' so that is something important to keep in mind when you're using this to block taijutsu and other techniques. So it may not be fast enough to block certain things in very close range. One major issue I have with this technique is that your body is part of the wall as you use your arm to create the wall. This is a major issue when fighting someone who frequently uses lightning and can easily inflict some pretty good damage with Nagashi after they strike the wall. Although that will most likely mean depending on their usage that they are struck too. So it just takes a lot of careful usage. This technique other than that is quite nice and overall useful depending on the situation you're in.

"That's good, Jugram. Use that technique only when necessary, as it puts you in a vulnerable state, though I don't need to tell you that. Here you go."

Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: User performs the necessary handseals and places their hands out in front of them. Using chakra they gather up a large amount of rain and create a wall of solid water. The water is dense and difficult to move through, thus protecting the user from most taijutsu attack and fire attacks. Earth based jutsu and Lighting jutsu are highly effective against this technique. The user must keep his hands connected into the wall at all times or the wall will return to its normal state. If struck by electricity it will move through the water and strike the user as well.

"The next technique, is only supplementary in nature. By utilizing your Rain based chakra and sending it high into the clouds, you can create large nuclei for the raindrops to condense on. This causes the raindrops to increase in both size, and speed at which it falls to the ground. Although this doesn't cause any damage, it is highly distracting, and can be combined with various rain techniques, subsequently making them faster and larger, increasing both the area it affects and the speed at which it does. Use it on my clone to irritate him!"

Dean creates a clone that runs towards Jugram.

Releasing suiton chakra into the sky above I cause the nuclei of the rain drops to increase in size causing the drops to become significantly larger causing them to fall faster and become far more distracting when they fall. The sound of the drops becomes a much greater nuisance as well once they reach the ground and hit a surface blocking out some minor sounds. It is clear your clone has become flustered in the most annoying ways as I stand enjoying the view!

Nice technique. I like it for the distracting aspects beside the rain that falls faster. The faster rain will of course increase the delivery speed for techniques like Hidden Rain Slash and what not. It is important to remember that the heavier rain does in fact affect your senses too so you'll feel it striking you heavier, albeit dealing no damage, the sound increases blocking out your hearing as well as the opponent's. My one question for this technique is how long does it last for and can you deactivate it at will to return the rain to its normal size? Also I assume this technique requires it to have been raining before hand and it isn't actually a way to start a rain storm?

"That's good Jugram, and as for your question, as the technique has no "definite turn" amount it would just last the turn it is done, and after that, the rain will go back to normal. Yes, it should be raining already. Here you go."

Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: By sending subtle chakra waves into the clouds, the user is able to create unusually large nuclei for the water droplets to condense on. The end result is big raindrops that fall to the ground at a faster then normal rate. They aren't big or fast enough to cause any real damage, but they are quite distracting.

"The next one is extremely useful in a fight. First, form the necessary hand seals, and by using precise chakra control send your rain based chakra into the falling rain. This causes the rain to just stop where it is, like imagine slow motion "the Matrix" style hanging raindrops, it's pretty bad ass. Use it to stop the falling rain right now."

Dean waits for Jugram to perform the technique.

Excellent.

Channeling suiton chakra into the rain falling as it normally would I release it into the drops causing them to halt in the air and suspend themselves in a semi-sphere reaching mid-range from my body as the center of the sphere. The drops suspend where they were stopped. Some in front of my face and others at various other body levels.

So this is basically the one technique that can stop rain and makes it so one rain user can't really fight another rain user with rain. So this is also what people counter Rain Tiger with as it stops the rain and prevents future obstructions. However it is important to note that for that usage there is still rain suspended in the air that will still sense obstructions. So you have to remove that rain before so as to prevent future movement sensing. Overall it is a fantastic technique that has a very low chakra cost. It does require hand seals but that isn't that bad.

"Okay, for the next one. Fairly easy to perform, focus your Rain chakra into an area (preferably above the clone, although it doesn't state it, it can be seen as abusing a technique when playing around with the description too much) and cause it to form into a dagger. This is done with shape manipulation, and also precise chakra control to give the water a more solid state. After the dagger is formed, the surrounding water goes back to its normal form. When the dagger cuts into an opponent, it expands, increasing the damage. Use it on my clone."

So I assume the dagger falls similar to Hidden Rain Slash? I'm going to perform it based as such xD. Cause when I first saw this technique I thought it just formed a literal dagger in your hand but then I noticed that it can be done in mid-range ,_.

Channeling suiton chakra into the falling rain around my sensei's clone as he ran I form a solidified dagger with shape manipulation. As the clone runs toward me and runs below the dagger I cause it to fall and slice into the clone's skull and cause it to expand filling his head with water.

Its a really vague jutsu. I can't tell if it falls on them, if you form it as a weapon, or if you just form it on their skin or something ,_.

Nonetheless I shall attempt ;_;! So this is quite similar to Hidden Rain Slash where you form a knife/sharp weapon and drop it on the opponent making it incredibly difficult to notice. In this case it does exactly that except when it stabs/slices/etc it expands inside flooding the wound with water further exacerbating the damage.

"Good, and it is indeed a very vague technique which could easily be abused if smart. I will speak to Master Galen about this u.u. Anyway, here you go."

Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: A simple jutsu that gathers the rain with chakra and then forms it into a dagger-like weapon. The chakra gives the water a more solid form so that it can be used for attacks. The water returns to normal shortly after creation. When the dagger cuts into something the water from the dagger expands within the cut to increase the damage.

"A fairly useless technique in my opinion, but it has some use. You will start off by forming several hand seals, and then focusing your Rain chakra to the palm of your hand. After that, you will extend your arm over your head, with your palm open, which allows you to make an invisible umbrella. The Rain chakra focused to your palm practically acts as a magnet and the rain like another magnet, with the same poles. This causes rain to be "repelled" but can't stop more solid rain based techniques. This technique is basically used to stop that pesky Acid Rain technique. Anyway, use it to stop that Acid Rain technique, huehehe!"

Dean focuses his Rain based chakra and causes the clouds to be laced with a poisonous elemental chakra. This causes the Rain that starts falling to be acidic in nature, and causes the skin to blister and slowly dissolve, should one be caught in it.

As soon as the first drop of acidic rain touches my skin I feel the blistering effects of it causing minor burns which I realize would quickly escalate to major burns and soon death if I do nothing. Weaving a few hand seals I raise my left arm above my head unleashing chakra creating an invisible umbrella of sorts stopping the acidic rain from reaching my position.

This technique has its place and is highly situational. So it'll protect you from techniques like acid spear and other regular rain techniques but not anything that takes on a solid form so basically hidden rain slash, dagger, spear, etc all can break through this defense against rain making it difficult. Also another issue with this technique is that you'd have to continue feeding chakra into it making it so you can't actually use other techniques making it very annoying to use without a clone or something like that. I see this as really situational and useless though because you can actually decide on the size of something like acid rain and make it so you don't even have to worry about being hit by it.

"Very good, Jugram. We'll let you see a doctor about that blister. Here is the technique you just learned."

Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: A helpful technique for staying dry in the rain. After a few short handsigns, the user can create an invisible umbrella by extending their arm over their head and holding an open palm towards the sky. This "umbrella stops all rain, but cannot stop jutsu that take a more solid form like the Rain spear technique. This technique was actually made to stop the acid rain technique and other average falling rain techniques from touching the user.

"The last B rank now, then we will proceed with two techniques at a time. Ever seen hail before? This technique requires you to focus your Rain based chakra into the clouds and rain, and manipulate them. This allows you to bounce up the rain drops higher into the clouds. Basic physics and Geography states that the higher the altitude, the lower the temperature. If I remember correctly, with every 300 meters, the temperature drops with 2 degrees celcius. I am not sure this logic applies directly here though. Anyway, as they go higher, and the temperature reaches zero and below, the raindrops freeze. These raindrops then come down as hail but in the form of a net or dome, that would trap the opponent. Use it on my clone."

Channeling suiton chakra into the clouds above I manipulate the rain drops being produced to bounce higher into the atmosphere effectively freezing them solid. Once frozen I allow the drops to fall once again normally except I apply shape manipulation to create a net/dome like shape from the rain to trap the clone.

So I assume this is better than just for trapping someone. One thing to note about this technique is that the ice isn't hyouton or anything like that so the elemental interactions remain the same as the freezing over isn't chakra related it is merely done naturally. Basically it means it is still rain so that should be taken into account. I assume this technique would deal some blunt damage as you're effectively dropping ice on the opponent from above. So while not fatal and probably mostly cosmetic it would be annoying and distracting as well. Overall it is an interesting technique. I look forward to making hail custom jutsu U_U.

These daggers of rain are then bounced up higher into the clouds, becoming solid ice like daggers. The problem is, they can't be directed, they just fall down like the hail in the previous technique. Channeling suiton chakra into the dark clouds above I cause the rain drops produced to bounce higher into the atmosphere as I had learned earlier causing them to freeze. Then, applying shape manipulation I shape those frozen rain drops into small daggers with sharp edges capable of piercing flesh quite easily. The clone, running toward me, is soon intercepted by the daggers falling from the sky barraging him in a flesh piercing barrage of frozen daggers of rain piercing the clone and dispersing it.

Nice, nice useful technique. It reminds me greatly of the Hidden Rain Slash as they both follow the same principle. However, in this case you are creating numerous small daggers of rain covering a small area to the user's choosing instead of the single drop from Hidden Rain Slash. And of course, these are completely frozen unlike Hidden Rain Slash which is still fluid (even though it is practically solid). So this carries more physical impact than the drops. Overall I really like this technique. It is deadly and very difficult to discern from the hundreds of thousands of other rain drops falling around the opponent so without dojutsu, sensory, or other abilities following that suite it will be incredibly hard to avoid without metagaming.

Geez this technique is a bit OP ;_;.

Channeling suiton chakra in the sky above I cause the rain drops to bounce up further into the atmosphere while shaping into that of a spear that hardens into a dense frozen water. Then as they continue to travel up that spear hardens and freezes completely forming a deadly sharp spear that stays suspended in the sky above. As the clone charges toward me I merely reach my hand out to give him a friendly business like hand shake to which I then cause the spear to fall down and strike the clone while his guard was down! huehue

So this is basically the same as the previous technique version except deadlier and can be suspended in the air indefinitely allowing you to release it when you wish. Its important to remember it only falls in a linear direction so it has no complex movements and can be dodged with movement but 99.9999% of the time someone moves to dodge this it is done in a metagaming fashion. So technically the technique is really unavoidable and stupidly good when you think about it. Overall scary technique that I would hate to be used on me. Without sensory, dojutsu, etc honestly the chance of you noticing it among the rain is quite low and hard to justify without metagaming out of it.

There must be clouds in the sky for this technique to work, and well, in my opinion, three turns is a bit lengthy. Though it could have some use. Use it on my clone."

Channeling chakra into the sky I cause the rain drops to begin the process of freezing which seemingly takes quite a bit of time to do. After waiting a bit and having some tea and coffee the drops finally begin to fall in the form of hail dropping on your clone in a bombardment of sorts dispersing the clone.

So...vague technique to say the least. It is still useful though and I really like the concept behind it being some basic hail technique. So first off looking at the technique it requires a few hand seals and then you have to wait three turns for it to begin. Once it has started the biggest advantage to the technique is that it can target them. So the jutsu is extremely vague by "brief time". Is brief time a single turn in length? Two turns? Four? That is the only part that confuses me. Other than that I really, really like this technique.

Note:must have clouds in the sky to use this jutsu.

"The next technique can be used in conjunction with Hidden Mist technique, or without it. If you do use it with the Hidden Mist technique, then it is more effective. Without the need of forming hand seals, you will focus your Rain based chakra into present rain clouds and cause a thick snow to fall onto the battlefield. Without sensing, this technique is pretty useless though, as it blinds both you and the opponent. It takes 3 turns to be created, and then it falls for 3 turns. Use it on my clone."

Dean creates a clone that runs towards Jugram.
Channeling chakra into the rain above I cause the temperature to lower in the clouds causing the formation of snow above which does take some time to complete itself. While that happens I open my mouth and release a thick mist by using the Hiding in Mist technique engulfing the entire field in mist. As this process is completed a thick blanket of snow begins to fall on the battlefield restricting vision even more.

So I don't know how I feel about this technique. For RP purposes Hiding in Mist restricts vision already and pretty much perfectly hides you against Dojutsu users (except Byakugan) and other non-sensory type ninja. So with that said I don't see an enormous benefit to this technique honestly. For the sake of the RP there wouldn't be much of a difference between this and regular Hiding in Mist and even when used in conjunction with something else it doesn't offer any exact degree of change. So overall I don't like this technique much since it is so vague and meh.

"Indeed, I have never used it myself. Here is the technique."

Rank: A
Type: Supplementary
Range: Shot-Mid
Chakra Cost: 30
Damage Points: N/A
Description: Used in conjunction with the Hidden Mist skill this makes things even more difficult to see. If used without the Hidden Mist skill, it is far less effective. The user makes snow begin to fall from the sky as thick as possible. This, of course, effects both the user and the opponent's vision.
Note:This jutsu must have rain clouds to perform and the snow takes three turns to fall and lasts for 3 turns.
Restrictions:Can only be used three times per battle.

"Okay, next one. First, the technique starts off by slamming your hands onto the ground and sending a large wave of Rain chakra through the ground itself. This wave of chakra causes small sources of Water to fly back into the clouds to replenish it. This allows you to keep it raining, without spamming the Tiger at Will technique, and can be used when your opponent tries to stop your Rain. Use it to keep it raining. Just a supplementary technique, but extremely useful."

Dean uses Stop Rain Technique.
