Aslong as the series is strong in Japan it'll get uploaded online. This is just paying money to distributors who want to bring it across seas. I don't support the anime, it horrible, bad animation at times, bad voice overs and non interesting fillers.

As much as I love Naruto this isn't the way to support the series. The proper way is to support the manga, as it's owned by Shonen Jump and SJ distributes in Japan, North America and Europe it's the better choice to purchase Manga instead of Anime. Just watch the anime don't buy it.

Lastly is anyone upset with them raising the prices to $12 CAD per book. ;| Just recently happened. Went from 9.50 to 12.99. ;[

It's honestly going to be that much harder to complete my series now. xD Atleast the older books stay at 9.50 so it's not TOO much to ask to buy from 2-33 lmfao.. ;(

Its true that the distributors get moeny from the amount that we but the animation studio get money as well. The japanese charge a lot of money to let it be distubted in other coutries. That profits them obviously :).

Yes that is true if you only want to support the manga. I do admit the manga is better then the anime but I still enjoy the anime despite the filler etc. You can do what you want (you know that xD) but I understand why you only buy the manga and not the anime.

I don't really know much about the prices changes for manga since different distrubtors charge different prices. The prices are always pretty cheap over here in the UK. I would on average itll cost you about 4? to 7? (roughly American dollars 6.5 - 11/canadian dollars 7 - 12.5).

It really depends on the manga but yes i think the latest black cat manga were at 7? for RRP price over here. Yes that has affected me a little bit but not too much. Just makes me wait a little longer to buy a volume.

Manga over here Im pretty sure has better ink then in japan but at the same time I think they dont use colour and instead use greyscale for colour pages etc.. Might be wrong about this correct me if I am wrong.

I have always been a bit iffy when it comes to buying though ive bought plenty of manga. It's just with a lot of the more well know anime dragon ball, naruto, bleach, one piece etc they have edits/changes.

Most of them are silly things such as removing middle fingers and removing Shikimarus ciggarete when he smokes etc. In cases like when shikimarus cigarette fell, I felt like some of the meaning goes away.

Side Note: A couple of the relases for dragon ball were unedited though the two most recent are edited.

I was thinking about buying the naruto manga boxset even with these small changes but a part of me says not to buy them since it will encourage the company to keep editing but then another part of me thinks well Im not going to change anything and anyone those series are meant to sell loads and be for the more casual fan.

To The Pervy Sage: Good luck with the torrents or the buying :)

Well even still. What I meant is Kishi went to Shonen Jump, thus shonen jump is what you should be supporting. -This is just my opinion.

As far as anime goes: I understand the purpose of fillers however I don't understand the choice in the fillers they make. Even this is written by Kishi however the way the characters are drawn just detaches it from the Naruniverse.
On top of that it irks me to see the fillers get better animation and production quality then idk something along the lines of Asuma's death.

Large events should have best quality fillers should be done up quickly.

Honestly I haven't seen any editing in SJ compaired to the scans on here. Shikimaru smokes in the SJ series. Some of the unaporopreate words in japanese are translated different in english so even if it is mildly inaproprate on the series it'll be left in. Some of the more vulgar things i've noticed are toned down but still get the initial intent out.

Yes that's true Shonen Jump Manga is the main product that we should buy to support Naruto/Masashi Kishimoto

About the language a lot of the time it's the fan translators that make it out that they are saying curses etc when they are only saying things such as "Kisama" etc. They are still insulting but not along the lines of "**** you". Of course the English release will have some of the language toned down occasionally etc.

Yes the filler designs of some of the characters. The main reasons why the designs etc are like this is due to money/time. Unlike what people think Anime companies have nowhere near the amount of money that "Hollywood" movies have.

I agree main events should be done better than fillers but the problem with doing that is that the amine company would have to spend more money. Just how it works im afriad. One episode the animation might be near perfect but then the next episode you think to yourself wow this is bad. I don't this but I'm sure loads of other people do.

Long running anime always have inconsistent animation/designs. They have many different animation teams. You can't have too many people working on a projects where they have to spend less than a week's work of animating as it will make everything unorganised etc unlike with Disney's animation where they have all year to do it (and therefore the animation quality is better).

Anyway the reason why anime was originally made was so that companies could make things that cost less that live action movies. So this logically means that anime companies don't spend too much money on the production of their episodes and designs etc. The only exceptions would be some anime movies.

Another thing to think about is the amount of money is spent on marketing for anime in Japan. If I remember correctly for amines like naruto more than 75 percent of the production is dedicated to just advertising. marketing and time slots for when they air the episodes (even though they had to bid for the show to be their when they originally put their show there).

Ahh I didn't know it's just I've seen some of the English releases and seen the slight censoring. Do you have any idea where I can get the version that doesn't have that edits in it. Would appreciate it if you could though you don't have to.

On a side not I got the box set a couple of days ago. I really like it. Thanks for responding to my reply and also sorry for the spelling mistakes.
