Dude, after Sasuke chibaku tensei the 9 bijuus he still had enough energy to run over to VOTE, use his susanoo and fight Naruto. It wasn't until after that, that he depended on taijutsu.

Just because Sasuke's most powerful technique can get absorbed, doesn't mean he's left with nothing else. He might be the dumbest of characters to you haters, but you know that he won't be mindlessly shooting arrows and throwing attacks without strategy. He can use other techniques, other strategies.
Every character in Naruto calls for different strategies from their opponents. Itachi is skilled and powerful, but his yata mirror is not the deciding factor in winning the battle against Sasuke.

ITACHI is a beast of a character and if you can't respect him then you should read another manga. With that being said, he's not the strongest..

I feel the same. Itachi is an amazing character: he's smart, he's skilled, he's powerful. But many of his fans make him seem invincible. My fav character is Sasuke and I don't even like Itachi, but I respect him as a character. Seriously, someone like him deserves respect. But there are too many fans that overrate him at the expense of respect to other characters.
