I wouldn't applaud someones will to be able to commit suicide, it's a stronger more impressive feat to withstand that negative in your life that has brought upon you those suicidal thoughts and rise above them.
Selfish?

Why endure? We are going to die anyways.
OT: Yep, I also tried to kill myself a few times.
Yeah but most problems in modern societies can be overcome, its just people choose to give up hope too easily.
People in the Middle East and Africa have lives far worse than ours but they still try to survive and live their lives the best way they can.
I can tell you without a doubt that I've had a pretty horrible life and went through things most people never have in their lives, but I've never tried to commit suicide. If you have the will, you can turn things around.
^Things like this display a basic misunderstanding of people. It's this kind of ignorance that creates problems in the world.
What about that Itachi fan??
Taking your life is a weak thing to do, you have your life ahead of you and you're gonna end your life cause of one simple thing. Taking your life is the easy way out, the weak thing to do. You're only hurting your friends and family who care about you and it's an overall selfish thing to do, it takes no guts, I can think of 1000 ways to kill myself painlessly so spare me the courage thing
It exactly take guts because you give up on everything. It's not as easy as some people may think. It's not about just one thing. It's not like "oh I didn't get the girl/job/college I wanted, now I'll cut my wrists". It's a process. And not everyone has a supportive family. I'd also like you to list those 1000 painless ways. Please go ahead. I'm very curious.
Well killing yourself over a failed relationship or parental neglect is not something I would call justified reasoning.
The only times I'd ever believe it's reasonable to kill yourself is if you are homeless and suffering, having constant pain from something like cancer, lost a child and can't cope with it, having missing limbs or mutilated body, etc.
Yeah, and that is ignorant. Everyone lives the most difficult life they possibly could. Think about it that way. It's a good place to start...
I don't see how that makes sense. Some people have it better than others, yet they take their life for granted and end it while those who live in worse conditions fight to live.
People kill themselves over trivial problems while those facing the same problems choose to endure and overcome.
You are looking at people's lives from a perspective that was formed by your life. You know nothing. Every person who has a life lives the most difficult life that they possibly could.
Is that just a convenient way to justify them taking their own life. It just shows that they give up too easily in better conditions.
So a rich person with everything he wants killing himself over a failed relationship is justified because he was living the "most difficult life he could live"
That rich man's problems are a slap on the wrist compared to a poor man's.
I understand now. You want to feel better about your own struggles. It reassures you, doesn't it? There certainly was no reason to hint at the ordeals of your life here. No one asked how hard your life was. Do you want someone to talk to about it? Do you want me to praise you or feel sympathy for you because you have lived what you believe to be a hard life?

Well guess what? That recognition, that attention, that reassurance; it's the same exact thing that people who kill themselves want. Can I call you weak for wanting to draw any kind of attention to the hardships of your life? Wouldn't a truly strong person endure the pain without needing to be recognized for doing so?
lol well considering that you're utterly wrong in your assumption that I seek recognition, I disagree with everything you've said.
I never put my friends or family on the spot where I talk about my problems. I've literally never told anyone the worst things that happened to me in life because I don't want them to know and feel sorry for me.
I face my own problems myself and never needed a shoulder to cry on.
Bad experiences make up for good stories and when I recount these stories, I do it in a way where I can get a laugh out in the end.
Why would you say that then? Why would you ever say anything if you didn't want attention?
