Amaterasu has very low success rate against jonin+ ninjas..clearly the jutsu is a massive failure. All other jutsu have been successful at times, amaterasu being an exclusive exception

Which is exactly why it's a failure, because it faile to kill or harm anybody, which is its actual purpose When its feats are compared to its databook scan of being as hot as the sun, it's no wonder Amaterasu has become a joke

Amatersu may not be as lethal in the upper tiers but to call it a failure when 90% of the verse gets downed by it is a joke especially when it can also be used for other purposes in the upper echelon

90% of the verse go down to Kunai as well, even kunai is more effective and lethal than amaterasu against fodders

Minato solod 3rd ninja war with his FTG kunai. Kakashi has killed more fodders with kunai than chidori

Not all jutsu are great and effective, and Kunai do their job pretty well against weaklings

Yeah indeed it is , although it efficiency depends if the focus is kept and on the amount of chakra build up for Amaterasu to use.
