Hello guys, I would like to talk about Amaterasu technique which misunderstood by readers became common joke nowadays. However The irony is that people do not understand how Amaterasu work and Sadly I could not find Amaterasu scan in databook, so here I go:
I won't bring Part 1 scan where Itachi burnt through Toad breathing fire itself's stomach summoned by Jirayia using Amaterasu, because some guys will come here and claim it was nerfed/restricted.
^^ The First time we saw Amaterasu being used again in Naruto part 2 was from Itachi who used it against Sasuke Fire ball which was overpowering his own fireball.
^^ As Black Zetsu explains here. The FOCUS of the eye is crucial aspect here. There was never stated how fast black flames burn through obstacle, it was only stated that they will continue to burn until their target is completly eridicated.
Itachi was not just spawning Amaterasu... he was following Sasuke to keep his eye focused on target...
^^ Against Killer bee who took upon form of Gyuuki Sasuke only spawn Amaterasu then due to pain and exhaustion reverted his eyes back to normal. Upon Karin being caught by Black Flames Sasuke activated MS again to put out black flames from Karin. As you can see in lastest scan the black flames burnt already through Karin clothes and at any moment would begin burn her skin.
^^ Fake Killer body was also intact and almost unharmed when Sasuke put out the black flames which proves that without constant focus of eye at target the burning rate is not impressive.
^^ Against Fourth Raikage , Sasuke just spawn Black flames Amaterasu then when He noticed that Raikage avoided it Sasuke instantly move his eyes away from keep eyes focus on him instead he instatly turned his head around.
^^ Just take a look at black flames decreasing in size the moment Sasuke covered his eye with hand.
^^ The Samurai armor was still on fire, even atlhough the burning rate should be really slow there was no focus.
^^ Also it was Raikage's foolishness of disactivating Lightining shroud allowing Black flames to come in contact with his skin. Temari using wind blowing would easily takes it out of him. The black flames burning rate was such low that Raikage didn't even feel Pain.
^^ As proven by this scan Amaterasu itself is useless against Gaara's sand which can carry itself with fire on away and fall down. Sasuke also stated he was forced to use Inferno style which could keep Gaara's sand at bay.
^^ As proven against Danzo. If Sasuke could keep his focus on the target and the chakra amount was enough then the burning rate was very high so Danzo could only escape via Izanagi.
^^ Itachi also casted Amaterasu on dog summon of Rinnegan then turned back to Nagato, also just spawning Amaterasu at him but with no constant focus as he took off to Naruto
^^ Here Sasuke spawn Amaterasu spining around to separate him and Itachi from Kabuto. Kabuto didn't dare to step in or try go in until he used ground to make way for himself to go in.
^^ While focusing their eyes on target Sasuke and Itachi could burn through Kidomaru's web in mere seconds, which is known for great durability.
^^ It seems it isn't just focus of eye but also amount of chakra build up for spawning Amaterasu which shows how strong burning rate is, of course it doesn't work on Onmyoudon.
^^ Sasuke was low at the chakra at this point, so that why his chakra amount build up was low and yet he understimated Madara by no focsuing eye at Madara, so Madara had time took off his armor. Besides Hashirama mentioned something about absorbing Jutsu.. so it is unclear anyway.
^^ Here Sasuke spawned Amaterasu and adding Inferno style to make flames solid he made him and Naruto get out of being frozen by ice dimenssion.
^^ Kaguya was worried about Sasuke having Amaterasu which proves it can be dangerous and deadly jutsu.
AND FINALLY TO THE LASTEST CHAPTER DOWNRATING AMATERASU:
^^ Here we see Sasuke spawning Amaterasu at Naruto, but Naruto is protected by chakra cloak. Of course if Sasuke focused his eye on then Amaterasu would fight to burn through cloak while Naruto would try to extend it moving it out of his body. However Sasuke was too low on chakra so Amaterasu could not do anything.

CONCLUSION :
- Amaterasu burning rate depends on the amount of chakra build up to cast Amaterasu and if the focus is kept on the target or not.
- Even If Sasuke had more chakra and would slowly burn through chakra cloak then extending chakra cloak Naruto would get rid of flames by using Tailed beast roar.
