Naruto PURPOSELY failed his Rasengan and planned to have Chakra stolen.

Naruto's finally accomplished a one handed rasengan in his base/exhausted form which was a first if I can recall correctly BUT completely failed in typical Narutostyle. Or did he...?

Now we all know Naruto isn't fighting to kill Sasuke, his ninja way is to bring him back blah blah blah, but if you look over these panels another time in order, you see that Sasuke was fully ready to clash with Naruto, but all of a sudden, his chidori failed him.

Naruto's rasengan can be fatal, and again Naruto isn't trying to kill Sasuke.

I'm calling it: Naruto knows the only way to release IT (upon his own accord albeit) is for their seals to clash. Sasuke's seal on his dominant chidori hand (left) and Naruto's on his dominant rasengan hand (right.)

Put it all together and we have Naruto botching up his attack (98% of me is declaring it on purpose) because
1: He wants to undo IT
2: He needs to clash with Sasuke's chidori/dominant (seal) hand
3: He didn't want to kill Sasuke
Naruto fails if he kills Sasuke.

Now for Naruto's plan:

The last few panels, we clearly see that both Sasuke and Naruto exausted all their chakra stores. What Naruto knows he has that Sasuke doesn't, is a partner that can collect chakra for him (Kuruma duh)

And obviously Kuruma gets his Chakra stolen by Sasuke with his Rinnegan powers.

On accident? Nope. It's all according to Naruto's plan. Naruto has now fought the Rinnegan countless times, he didn't just all of a sudden forget it's ability to steal chakra. They are physically touching for crying out loud.

As stated above, they were both out of Chakra... without Chakra, there can be no Rasen/Chidori clash. Without a clash, IT won't get released on Naurto's terms.

Naruto is 100% aware of this.

The only way to provide Sasuke with chakra in order to "trick" him into a clash was to trick him into stealing it from Kuruma. Naruto is a trickster ninja afterall.

Now Naruto has the stage set for their Chakra clash, all according to Naruto's plan.

Notice Naruto's hands are hidden under water? Get ready for Naruto's first (base/exhausted mode) double rasengan, one to clash with Sasuke and release IT, and the other to Sausgay's douchebag stomach.

To sum up for non readers
Naruto purposely failed his Rasengan because Sasuke's chidori failed him also. Naruto intends and needs to clash with Sasuke's seal to release IT.
Naurto purposely let Kuruma's chakra get stolen to give Sasuke Chakra (both of their chakra stores were depleted) in order to trick him into Chidori/Rasengan clashing.
The panels of the God Tree IT victims hadn't been shown in forever, so take it as foreshadowing their release soon.

As for the double Rasengan counter:
Naruto's hand are hidden in the water for a reason. I mean look. Their knees and feet can stay on top the water just fine... but his hands can't? He's prepping dem Rasengans.

Sounds plausible not like he hasn't shown this type of stupid logic before for example the Neji fight way back in Part 1 Naruto.

How would they be released from the shinju tree? Doesn't make a lot of sense IMO. As for Naruto forming two rasengan under the water... I mean OK Rinnegan can see chakra, and Sharingan can too. Plus Sasuke can sense chakra easily, so he is fooled by water? It wouldn't make much sense TBH...

I think Naruto's out of juice. Even Kurama 2.0 commented on it and said his chakra (Naruto's) is low. Kurama is also spent. I think the fight ends next chapter, and yeah prolly the bijuu give chakra to Naruto, escape genjutsu and Nardo pulls out a win barely.

My thoughts:

Naruto isn't in SM, BM, KCM or S06PM. Sasuke has Rinnegan active. It's Sasuke's advantage as of right now. Naruto in base form has never formed a dual Rasengan, that I can recall. Also Sasuke can't detect rasengan chakra because of water? He was able to see through the water jutsu and mist used by the guy in part 1, their first opponent. Would be a massive plothole.

It's a possibility.

My favorite line "Now we all know Naruto isn't fighting to kill Sasuke, his ninja way is to bring him back blah blah blah"

Rinnegan eye is swollen shut, and there is no sharingan going on. Actually its one of the few set ups he could do.

Edit: I just saw the second scan again and I see what you're saying. Still I wonder if the water would mess with it specially if the rasengans are buried underwater and in the river bed.

Seals(Chakra) Together- At least thats how I interpret it.

As for the rasengan being hidden underwater and being able to sense it.... Visibly, idk how it would hide it, but it's Manga.... Sensing it-wise though, what's it matter? Sasuke won't miss the opportunity to strike this time regardless. It's the last bit of chakra he has left. Sasuke can probably see/sense it, but it's a surprise for the reader! :bouncy:

I thought about that too, and I really hope not. The fight will be ruined if she shows her face there.

His hands are hidden in the water for a reason.
my thought is. at the First fight at V.O.T.E naruto was in kinda the same position he is in right now. and at that time he used multiple shadow clones to pull sasuke up out of the water. So what if he is doing the same thing here just holding a chain of Shadow clones for a surprise attack on Sasuke? any thoughts?

That would be cool, but this is the last of Sasuke's chakra and they absolutely NEED to clash seals for IT's release. Any technique other than Naruto's Rasengan will cause Naruto to lose at this point.

In the VIZ it was stated that they both had to make the Rat seal in order to release the Infinite Tsukuyomi. The Yin/Yang seals are gone.

Well thats a bummer.... IDK then...

Maybe Naruto plans to forcibly make Sasuke weave the Rat sign like Obito did to Kakashi in the Anime fight between the two in which Obito weaved a fireball jutsu using Kakashi's hand.

IDK though, darn it VIZ.
