Correct me if i'm mistaken, but didn't the official databook place her tied with aizen or third strongest?

I put her as third underneath Yamamoto and aizen, which follows the databook.

So, to those who place her lower, why? What do you go by to make her lower than ukitake, urahara and kyoraku when she was already defined as being their senior.

Proof:

1. Yamamoto: 560
1. Aizen: 560
2. Unohana: 540
3. Kyoraku: 530
4. Byakuya: 510
5. Hitsugaya: 500
6. Ukitake: 490
7. Gin: 480
8. Komamura: 470
9. Soifon: 460
9. Tousen: 460
10. Mayuri: 430
11. Kenpachi: 390

Urahara was stated to be equal to Aizen as a shinigami, while Kubo hinted at Bankai Shunsui as might being more powerful as Aizen while Kubo has portrayed Ukitake as equal to Shunsui.

I don't remember any databook saying that.

Yamamoto (strongest shinigami for know), Aizen (Unohana admitted inferiority), Urahara (stated to be equal with Aizen), Isshin (beat Aizen in 1 vs 1), Zaraki (stronger than Unohana), Byakuya (after RR probably stronger than her).

That's in total 6 shinigamis, I would also add that probably all RG could be stronger than her.

I feel like Byakuya could take on anyone and have a fair chance at winning, he has everything, smarts, speed, strength, and great abilities.
That's true, Byakuya is very rounded fighter, but there are plenty of character that are as well.

For example, Yamamoto, Aizen, Urahara are all well rounded too and probably are better than him. Out of others Hitsugaya, Sui Feng, Yoruichi, probably seniors as well.

It's here: Yamamoto has the highest. Aizen has second highest and unohana has third highest.

I would also place Unohana high on the Captains list, but the use of Databooks cannot be the end all be all when determining which characters are stronger than which.

For example, Toshiro has a whole 70 points on Mayuri so logically that should make Mayuri his b@$&$, but this last fight between them has shown that stats mean little. Despite being lower than Toshiro in most categories his intellect allows Mayuri to defeat Toshiro.

So that leads one to the conclusion that while the databook says

Toshiro>Mayuri

In actuality

Mayuri>Toshiro

It's the same with Kenpachi, his stats are the lowest among the captains and despite that before his training

Kenpachi> half of the Gotei Captains

I agree that Unohana should be number 3 but not based on databook stats but rather her reputation and her last showing with Kenpachi.

That data only shows the potential the Shinigami have already reached themselves. So stats that are not 100 in the data book mean that the shinigami can actually improve themselves and reach perfection.

It is impossible to relate one power level to the other using that data because it is different and is based on the shinigami themselves and not by a standard power level.

Well idek why urahara got overhyped?
Yeah, I never really understood that, either. Everything got so muddled during the Fake Karakura Town arc. He's very powerful indeed, but I never saw him as stronger than, say, Ukitake or Kyoraku. A lot of people put him in a similar tier to Yamamoto and Aizen, but most of that was a lot of plot-induced prep that didn't make much sense in the long run. Even Isshin seems to be a bit overhyped considering he pushed away (with kidō, which people sometimes seem to forget) then exhausted an Aizen who had already battled 9 captain level shinigami, took a blast from Yamamoto, and dealt with Ichigo--all while not really caring due to the Hogyokō metamorphosis occurring.

OT: I find most of the rankings presented in the databook consistent, save for Kenpachi and Byakuya. Although, I wouldn't put Byakuya past Unohana or even the Senior captain WonderTwins, really.

Because when we look at shinigamis overall, Urahara's feats (and hype) is second only to Yamamoto, while Isshin and Aizen as somewhere around with him.

Hakuda:

Urahara has little feasts in this category, but hakuda is not some very popular shinigami art. Still he is overall quite high with it. Ukitaka, Unohana, Kyoraku, Aizen has no demonstration in hand to hand combant. On the other hand, Urahara being one of the top officers in the 2nd division means he is proficient at the use of hand to hand combat. Urahara being chosen as the Maggot Nest Guardian and Commander of the Detention Unit, means that Urahara is one the most skilled Hakuda users around. Yamamoto and Yoruichi are the only one better than him (for know) in this category, while it's questionble how good are Isshin and Sui Feng in this category.

Shunpo:

Urahara outpaced Hogyoku Aizen, which put him above Shinigami Aizen. Only one who demonstrated that level of speed are Yoruichi, Sui Feng, Yamamoto, Kirinji and Oetsu.

Zanjutsu:

The most unpopular shinigami art. So I will just skip it.

Intelligence:

I don't need to say anything here, Urahara is smartest guy in Bleach.

Kido:

By feats Urahara is best user in series, by hype he is second only to Tessai.

Urahara is pretty impressive.
