Chapter 0.1 -

(Heavy breathing.. A disperse fog over a lake.. Two men wonder in different ways and emotional states..)

Itachi - "Is this the feeling?? This feeling of emptiness,loneliness and guilt you feel when you are about to kill a men??
Not only a men but your best friend.. Almost like an older brother.."

Itachi - "I wonder why men fight.. Why?? If this is the feeling you get out of death.
There's no feeling of superiority or god statute when you have a men's life on your hands..
Only shame,guilt,loss and a huge vacuum ahead of me.."

Itachi - "I could never think i would kill but there's a time in our life when you have to make hard decisions.. Crucial..
I can't stand this feeling. I'm sorry my beloved friend.. No next time.."

Itachi - "I hope one day you understand my decision. When you get to look to the bottom of our cursed land in order to gain this cursed powers of this cursed clan.. I really hope you forgive me..
I'm sure your soul will be blessed within the best that heaven has to offer.."

Shisui Uchiha - (in a very toned down voice.. Crawling.. His throat is crushed)
Why??.....Itac....

Itachi - I have no choice.. The cost of peace is to high.. Your death may save thousands..or none.. Could be meaningful or the Key.

Itachi - Only power in the men's hands. Cursed or sacred will dictate if your death will be meaninful or not..

Itachi - I'm sorry my friend..

Shisui - Ahhhhhhh.....

(Itachi disfers the last hit and proceed to copy a note and throw Shisui's body in the foggy lake..The note said as follows:

I have wearied of duty. As it is, The Uchiha has no future.
Neither do I... I can no longer follow "The Path".)​

Itachi - "This marks the day my soul was killed and my mind crushed.. I can feel a new power within me.. but it is worth it??
Worth this awful feeling of emptiness within me??"

Itachi - "Only time will tell....."

Chapter 0.2 -

( A long,dark hall.. Silent and quiet. Only two voices are heard. 5 people are present.)

( Danz? stands still in front of a knee down Itachi in the companion of 3 masked ANBU agents )

Danz? - Have you made up your mind,Itachi??

Itachi - ...

Danz? - Answer me or i'll call someone else for your duty and this specific mission..

Danz? - You know what's ahead of us. If you let your emotions and laces get the best out of you.

Danz? - You wanna witness war again?? Death and despair??

Danz? - Answer me Itachi !! (In a tone of superiority)

( Danz? starts mumbling for one of the agents next to him)

Danz? - I just call someone else for the duty..

Itachi - wait.. Please no,sir.. I'll do it.

Itachi - I'm the right men to finish what i already started. The mission will be complete,sir..

Danz? - I know you can do it.

Itachi - "I became overcomed by guilt.."

( Back in Itachi's Home.. It's past dinner time )

Uchiha Fugaku (Itachi's father) - Late again,Itachi??

Itachi - Yes.. I'm sorry,sir..

Uchiha Fugaku - You are acting very weirdly lately,Itachi.. What's happening?

Itachi - Nothing. Just duty.

Uchiha Fugaku - Being an active member of our clan and an ANBU Captain at 13 are taking a big toll on you,i see.

Itachi - That's probably it. Can i go to my room,sir??

Uchiha Fugaku - Yes but take at least a bit of dinner with you..

Itachi - I'm not hungry but thanks mom.

Uchiha Mikoto - Join us sometimes, Itachi. At least at meals.

Itachi - I will,mom..

( Itachi process to climb up the stairs )

Extremely good chapters. I can literally feel what Itachi's going through; his feelings and emotions are clearly described...I can almost feel the conflict he's going through.
Especially this line:

Everything he's going through is well written. I especially love the conversing between Shusui and Itachi. I love the angst in the beginning. I can see Itachi sitting by the lake...conflicted as of such things...

Chapter 0.3 -

Itachi - Sasuke..

Itachi- It's time to go..

( One day as past.. Sasuke is on Itachi's back.. Both returning from Itachi's training.. Where Sasuke looked at Itachi with amusement.. )

( Sasuke laughs )

Itachi - How come the one who twisted his ankle is the one Laughing??

Itachi - Was it on purpose so i'd carry you?

Sasuke - No. I'm just happy because tomorrow I'll be starting the Academy too.

Sasuke - Maybe now, i can catch up to you a little.

( It's the end of a day.. Both Itachi and Sasuke are sitting next to each other at their parents house )

Sasuke - Father only cares about you,big brother...

Itachi - You probably hate me,huh??

( Sasuke looks with a surprised face to Itachi but don't answers him )

Itachi - It's all right... It's a fact that Shinobi go through life being hated.

Sasuke - That's not how i feel...

( Itachi gives a rare laugh.. )

Itachi - Being the best isn't all it's cracked up to be..

Itachi - If you have power, you become alienated and also arrogant.

Itachi - Even if you're coveted and sought after at first.
but,we only have each other as siblings..

Itachi - I'm always going to be there for you, even if it's only as an obstacle for you to overcome.

Itachi - Even if you do hate me... That's what big brothers are for..

( Sasuke looks with a very surprised look at Itachi's words.. )

Sasuke - Can you teach me ninjutsu,now??

( Itachi pokes on Sasuke's forehead )

Itachi - Maybe,another time..

Sasuke - You always say that, big brother..


( Itachi stands up and goes to the hallway.. He coughs into his hand..)

" I just had cough blood??? "

Chapter 0.4 -

( Itachi stands in the hallway with his hand in his mouth.. Thinking for himself.. )

Itachi - " This chakra.. This man. It can't be!! I've been sensing this Chakra for days now.."

( Itachi picks a kunai and rushes into the hallway. Exiting home,running deep into the forests.. )

Sasuke - Big Brother. Where are you going??

Itachi - I'll be right back, Sasuke.. Stay put..

Itachi - " Could it be?? Uchiha?? I'm getting near and near of the Chakra source.. "

( Itachi reaches deep into the forest.. )

( Itachi throws the Kunai at a tree and screams.. )

Itachi - Show yourself, Intruder!!

( A tall man wearing a one-eye Mask shows himself.. )

Masked Man - So you actually were able to sense my chakra so far away.. I'm being careless it seems..

Itachi - Who are you??

Masked Man - If i would said it.. You wouldn't believe it.

Itachi - I think i have a pretty good guess, but even i can't believe it myself.

Itachi - What are your intentions?? Wandering around in the forest near our Clan's location for days,now..

Masked Man - If you know who i am. Then you must have a pretty good guess.

Itachi - Don't you dare.. Inflict pain on people who have nothing to do with what happened generations ago.

Itachi - Leave this people alone. Leave this land.

Masked Man - I'm affraid i can't do that.. Itachi Uchiha

( Itachi shows surprise )

Itachi - What's your plan??

Masked Man - Well, i've been hearing some loud mouths.. And something tells me our beloved Clan is preparing something big against Konoha.

Masked Man - I guess, i'll just enjoy the ride and do a couple things myself to Konoha and the Land of Fire.

Itachi - Why Konoha?? was the Uchiha Clan who betrayed you. Don't bring misery to the ones who have no guilt in yout past,Uchiha M..

( They stare each other for some seconds )

Itachi - I will open the cards..

Itachi - I've been working as a double agent since joining the ANBU 6 months ago..

Itachi - First i was supposed to be the pipe connecting the Clan to the Village..

Itachi - but after knowing about my father's ambitions as well as the Clan's..
As you seem to know already..

Itachi - I've started to collect and give information to the Village leaders.

Masked Man - They are pressing you to wipe out the clan..

Itachi - Tomorrow night..

Masked Man - You are wanting to go somewhere with this conversation..
Let's put it simple. What do i gain??

Itachi - I allow you to get revenge on the Uchiha. Tomorrow night.
But in trade you have to promisse me that you don't touch Konoha.. Ever..

Masked Man - Sounds tempting..

( Itachi looks to the Masked Man and activates his Mangeky? Sharingan )

Masked Man - Wohh!! That sure is a surprise.. So young.. Yet so evolved..

Masked Man - I'll join you tomorrow and will keep my promisse.
The Uchiha are good enough for me.

( Itachi starts walking away.. The Masked Man stay in the same area watching Itachi as the later walks back home.. )

Masked Man - For now...

Chapter 0.5 -

( It's night already.. Itachi is speaking with his parents )

Fugaku Uchiha - What?? Do you know what day tomorrow is??

Fugaku Uchiha - You don't understand your own position!

Itachi - I'm setting out on a mission tomorrow.

Fugaku Uchiha - What kind of mission??

Itachi - I can't tell you... It's a top-secret mission.

Fugaku Uchiha - Itachi...You also serve as the Uchiha clan's pipeline
to the village nerve center.

Fugaku Uchiha - You know that, don't you?

Itachi - Yes...

Fugaku Uchiha - Keep well that in mind. And come to tomorrow's assembly!

( The sun rises.. The day as arrived )

Itachi - " The day finally arrived.. I hope it ends up fast..
I feel filthy and sick to my stomach already.. I can barely see myself in the mirror anymore. Rotten up from inside in guilt and shame..
At least i'm not alone in this anymore.. I hope it ends...soon "

( Itachi was inside of his parents house with Sasuke.. When he suddently hears voices.. It was noon already.. )

( A voice at the door.. Three Uchiha Clan members appear in front of Itachi.. Sasuke was hidding watching and hearing the conversation between the four )

Tren Uchiha - Is Itachi here?? ( He calls as he steps inside the house)

Tren - We need to talk . Come out!

Itachi - What brings you all here??

Tren - There were two people who didn't show up at before-yesterday's assembly.

Ent Uchiha - Why didn't you come?

( Itachi stares at them )

Ent - We understand that joining the ANBU Black Ops means being pushed to do all sorts of petty assignments.

Ent - Your father has said as much and tries to defend you.

Tren - but we have no intention of giving you special treatment.

Itachi - I understand. I shall be more careful hereafter.

Itachi - Now, I'm going to have to ask you to leave.

Tren - All right.

Tren - but before that, we'd like to ask you a bit more about something.

Tren - It's about Shisui Uchiha.

Chapter 0.6 -

( The talk at the door between the 4 Uchiha clan members continues.. As Sasuke is hidding hearing everything..)

Tren - Shisui Uchiha. Who died after slitting his own throat and throwing himself into the Konoha River 2 nights ago.

( Itachi stares at them very seriously and with some anger )

Ent - As i recall, you looked up to him like an older brother, didn't you??

( Itachi closes his eyes.. )

Itachi - I see..

Itachi - I hadn't seen him recently...
That's too bad.

Ent - And we, the police force,have decided to launch an all-out investigation.

Itachi - Investigation?

( Tren reaches his pocket and grabs a note. He process to hand the note to Itachi. )


Tren - This is the will Shisui left. The handwritting analysis shows that it is unmistakably his.

Itachi - If there are no traces of foul play, Why investigate at all?

Ent - Someone who uses Sharingan would be able to make a perfect copy.

( Note stated : " I have wearied of duty. As it is,The Uchiha has no future. Neither do I... I can no longer follow the " Path ". " )

Ent - One of the most talented of all our clan, feared as Shisui the Body-Flicker...
He was a man who took on any mission for the sake of the clan.

Ent - It's hard to believe that someone like that would kill himself, leaving this behind.

( Itachi stares at the note )

Itachi - You shouldn't judge people by their appearence, or by your own preconceptions.

Ent - Anyway, we'll leave his will with you. Take it to the ANBU and request their cooperation in the investigation! ( Ent keeps raising his voice at Itachi )

Itachi - Understood..

( The three men start leaving and already outside Tren says full of Sarcasm )

Tren - Let's hope we get a lead on this soon..

( Itachi gets angry )

Itachi - Why don't you just come out and say it?

( The three men stop as they were leaving and turn face towards Itachi. With all of three with their Sharingans activated )

( Itachi activates his sharingan as well.. 3 Tomoe are showned in his eyes )

Itachi - You all suspect me,right??

Ent - Yeah,that's right. You little shit!

( A fight is about to happen between the four men )

Chapter 0.7 -

( The four men outside.. Itachi is standing still. The other three Uchiha members are laid in the ground.
Itachi beat up the three within seconds with simple punchs.. )

( Itachi says.. )

Itachi - Like i said earlier, appearences and preconceptions aren't going to tell you anything.

Itachi - You assume that i'm very patiente and underestimate me...

Itachi - The Clan... The Clan...You keep harping on it,mistaking the size of that vessel and underestimating the size of mine.

Itachi - That's why you're here now,groveling.

( Tren says crawling in the ground in pain )

Tren - Shisui had been monitoring you lately.

Tren - It's been six months since you joined the ANBU, but your recent words and actions have been intolerable.

Tren - Just what are you thinking?

Itachi - This attachment to the organization, to the Clan, to one's name...
Such attachments put a limit on one's vessel and should be ceased.

( Itachi starts raising his tone of voice.. )

Itachi - To fear and hate things that we cannot see or understand as yet is totally ridiculous!

( Itachi gets interrupted by his dad )

Fugaku Uchiha - Stop! Itachi!

( Itachi looks at his dad's face )

Fugaku Uchiha - That's enough... What's going on with you??

Fugaku Uchiha - Itachi... You hadn't been yourself lately.

Itachi - I'm perfectly sane.

Itachi - I'm carrying out my duties. That's all i'm doing.

Fugaku Uchiha - Then why didn't you come two nights ago??

Itachi - In order to elevate myself higher...

Fugaku Uchiha - What are you talking about??

( Itachi shows extreme anger at his dad and gives a huge kick in the ground.
Itachi's dad appears to be very surprised at his son's reaction. )

Itachi - My vessel is too little for this foolish little clan!

Itachi - Adhering to this clan... and petty things... makes you lose sight of what's really important.

Itachi - Real change won't come about when you are bound by regulations and limitation..
When you're satisfied with premonition and guesses.

Fugaku Uchiha - Such arrogance! ( His dad screams at him )

( The other three Uchiha stand up next to Fugaku Uchiha )

Tren - Enough. Say another word and we'll throw you in prison!

Fugaku Uchiha - So what will you do??

Ent - I've had enough! Captain, Give us the order to arrest him!

( A voice from the back.Is heard )

Sasuke - Big Brother! Please stop!

( Itachi looks to his little brother and knees down in front of his dad and the three Uchiha in forgiveness )

Itachi - I did not kill Shisui... but i apologize fot the words i have spoken... I'm trully sorry.

Fugaku Uchiha - You've been working too hard on your ANBU Black Ops missions, and i think you are a little tired.

Tren - But Captain!

Fugaku Uchiha - The ANBU Black Ops are under the direct orders of the Hokage. Without an arrest warrant , we cannot detain him.

Fugaku Uchiha - I will take full responsibility over Itachi and keep an eye on him.

Fugaku Uchiha - You have my word.

Tren - Very well,sir.

Fugaku Uchiha - Let's go inside, Itachi.

( His father enters home and Sasuke looks at his Big Brother )

( Itachi activates the Mangeky? )

Chapter 0.8 -

( It's a quiet and peaceful night )

( Itachi is sitted on his room floor with a note from Danz? in his hand )

( A sweet voice from the outside.. It's Itachi's mom )

Mikoto Uchiha - Itachi...I'll leave your meal here.

Mikoto Uchiha - I know you're busy with work ,but do join us once in a while at meals.

Itachi - Thank you.. Mother ( a tear almost drops )

( The sadness on Itachi's eyes was apparent.. The sadness of a human being forced to sacrifice his life for others.. Forced to kill his family in order for peace to prevail.. A man who carried such task on his shoulders for so long. That he just wanted to rest in peace )

( Itachi starts putting on his ANBU clothes and thinking )

" The time has come. No time to cry. No time for doubts,this is it.
This was my choice and i have to carry it for the rest of my life..
Forgive me all my dear friends,lover and family.. This is the end..
No more next time.."

( It's 8h 30 PM.. The Massacre begun.. )

( Itachi jumps out of his window and starts entering house after house stabbing and cutting everything in sight with his ANBU sword, and a look of guilt,shame and digust in his face.. Every Uchiha has been caught up by surprise.. )

( Houses full of corpses,misery expanded in the Uchiha streets.. Piles of corpses.. A sight of horror and nauseabund smell of blood and internal organs all over the Clan.. By this time,the clan was almost vanished..)

( Itachi is on some random Uchiha victims house and a look came across his sight.. In the next house the Masked Man was about to kill Itachi's dear uncles.. )

Itachi - " Should i stop him.. Maybe i could run with my family.
Maybe i could put a stop on this now!!"

( The Masked Man process to decapitate both of Itachi's uncles.. Itachi just closed his eyes. A tear dropped.. )

Itachi - " I have no soul anymore.. "

( Masked Man gives Itachi a signal from the other window.. Only one house left.. Itachi's house )

( Meanwhile, Sasuke is arriving from his first day in the Academy.. Running and worried )

Sasuke - "I stayed back to practice throwing Shuriken and now i'm totally late."

( Sasuke stops )

Sasuke - "I had a feeling there was someone in that roof.."

Sasuke - What is this?? (piles of corpses in sasuke's sight)

( Sasuke screams!! )

Sasuke - Father! Mother!

( Sasuke reaches home.. A men is standing next to Sasuke's parents dead bodies )
