Totsuka only seals what it pierces. I have seen no feats from the manga that suggest that totsuka can pierce such a durable structure that even a weak version from Pain tanked a bijuudama for KN6 naruto(if memory serves me right), and when was used by Nagato needed the combined force of a bijjudama, rasenshuriken and YM to destroy. A CT from Rikudo/Juubi jin Madara needed a RIkudo enhanced PS to destroy, so logic dictates that a regular PS is needed to destroy/cut through Nagato's CT, which Itachi does not have. So Nagato wins mid diff.

Not really. CT core's durability has never been put to test before. Just because they attacked with three different combinations, doesn't mean any less would have not done any damage. And the method differs; Totsuka no Tsurugi is there to pierce it. Last time it was destroyed with a blast. You can't really give it a durability like that. Especially when there were rocks along.

Also, KN6's attack was stopped by the rocks. And his Bijuu Dama is fairly weak since Deva Path tanked it with no visible severe damage. Itachi would immediately charg toward it and pierce it before it layers itself with a pile of rocks.

Except that were not talking about Madara's CT, which were destroyed effortlessly by Sasuke and Naruto.

IT is a Rinnegan Genjutsu idiot. It takes a "Rinnegan to counter a Rinnegan Genjutsu." This was stated in the manga.
