The Martyr of Konoha: The Itachi Uchiha FC

I see what you mean. But like Truth says, I totally geeked out when I saw the recent Itachi panels. <3 So I wouldn’t mind a couple more flashbacks. Then Itachi can rest at last. Just think: we can say that our favorite character, even though he’s dead, was there until the very end.

Yeah, that’s true. :/ But like you said: this is a battle of Itachi’s ideals versus the life he led. We could yet see at least one more flashback. At least I hope so. xD

It's confirmed that the series is ending on November 10th. That falls on a Monday, when the chapter is officially released through Shonen Jump in Japan. But, since we're all online readers, we'll probably see the last chapter earlier- like on November 5th.

I don't think we need to see anymore. We only have 4 chapters to the manga left. Itachi was already in the one before last one. We can say that he was there until the end even though he's been dead for half of the Shippuden series, ironically. Our fandom and the character we support are total win. U_U It's crazy how he has more relevance to the series, even in death, than most of the alive characters... in fact, all of them bar Sasuke and Naruto themselves. Even more than Kakashi and Gaara. xD

It was a great run with this character. Plus, I think it's cool how the manga begins with Naruto wanting to become Hokage, but then it practically ends saying that if anyone deserved to have the Hokage title, it was Itachi. Though, I think Itachi's too cool to be Hokage and the whole "do good deeds from the shadows, don't seek glory for them" theme he has doesn't fit with the title when everyone just adores the Hokage, praises them, and they even get their face engraved on a mountain. Itachi wasn't into gaining self-fame. A quality I very much admire with his character and believe it teaches a great lesson to the audience. Even while being in a series of killers, Itachi was a great role model if you look at his ideals and personality, whilst excluding his job (when evaluating role models from Naruto, it's better to exclude their job since they're all shinobi and killers. xD )

so true, nothing to add to that and the thing is he already had such an emotional farewell,my favourite scene and my favourite ost behind it, it would be sad to ruin that and make him appear again!

Exactly. If something is good, it needs to be left alone. I was surprised that Kishimoto as a writer of a manga directed at 12-13 yr olds (shonen) could manage to pull off a second farewell that was as emotional as the first. I don't see Kishimoto or any writer having the ability to ever top that in a series like this.

ot: Does anyone want to continue to Naruto part 3, if Kishimoto makes it? I don't think I would because I don't see there being as much suspense and all the characters I cared the most for are dead.

I know this sounds very shallow, but does anyone else feel less engaged in a series when their fav dies... to the point they don't want to continue? I don't want to continue to a part 3 if Itachi isn't around. Even if Kishimoto makes the effort to include him in flashbacks. xD I just wanted to finish Shippuden, since it would be a waste not to after coming so far. Not only that, but I'm not the most avid manga/anime fan (Naruto is the only thing I keep up with at the moment), so I don't want to continue regardless.

Also, has anyone read the plot for "The Last". Translations state that there's something wrong with the moon, it's falling apart. And Naruto needs to find a way to save the world with his friends. That sounds pretty lame to be honest, at least in my opinion. xD

No. U_U I really don't want a part 3, at this point. I agree with you, in that some of my favorite characters are dead, and my others are being neglected by Kishi like crazy. I don't want that to continue. :|

I'm with you on that. So far, Naruto and FMAB have done that to me, but FMAB was too good not to continue. xD Wow, and I thought I wasn't much of a manga/anime fan. O_O The only anime I'll be continuing with after Naruto ends is One Piece.

Only time will tell, I've been buying premium for nearly a year and premium ends tomorrow, I don't think I'm buying it anymore since this place will soon crumble. I may stay for a bit but if this place goes dead like I know it will I'm gonna bounce eventually, I talk to a lot of people on this site but I have most of their contact information and Skype, gonna be sad leaving this place nonetheless. If the project is true and they're expanding this site I will see how it goes.

Well, after I finish my last Itachi thread, I'll be retiring completely from the NDS. I'll only post in here and in another FC.

I also might try my hand at writing a fanfic, since I'd like to get that blue username that comes from winning a contest >.>

I'd start RPing, but it's too late for me to really get anywhere at this point.

In terms of actually "leaving", I think I'll probably stick around for a while before completely disappearing, I wouldn't want to regret it later.

But I'd quite like to maintain contact with the friends I've made here, so I'll probably get around to making a Skype or something.

Probably b. XD That gives me until the end of this year, at least. I'd most likely stick around for a little bit after the movie's release though. I mean, I like you guys a lot, and you're the only reason I stick around nowadays (so we can chat in our awesome FCs). <3 But there's plenty of other sites I can watch the anime from. What I'm basically getting from that picture is that both are drunk (hence the reason for mixing up their clothes) and Sasuke is now upset/surprised at how his brother has better abs than he does. XD
