Thats not quite correct AT LEAST imo.He does have positive interactions withh her

1.Naruto holds her hand in the manga after Hinata encourages him to continue to fight the Juubi and thanked her for always being by his side
2.During Naruto's fight against Obito, when the other teams join him, Hinata asks if he's ok, and at his reply, Kiba insinuates that Naruto is acting tough because Hinata is there
3.Both Naruto and Hinata mentioned that they could see the truth through each other's eyes
4.During the Chuunin exams, Naruto cheers for Hinata in her fight with Neji. Likewise, Hinata also roots for Naruto during his fight with her teammate, Kiba

and thats just off the top of my head

Besides now that NS and SS are dead the only one which Naruto can be paired with is Hinata now

1.But he did not thank them specifically for being by his side
2.She cheered for him only because she loves him.lol
3.What does being in IT be a negative for the pairing?She gets through IT because she is in the movie.Also did you see her movie sketch.She looks sad in that sketch and ppl are saying its because she is worried about Naruto when he goes on a mission implying that Naruto may have confessed to her before starting his mission
4.That eyes thing means they understand each other in a deep manner which may indicate a deep bond

1. Boy and girl interact for the first time. Happened on chuunin exams written part. Check.

2. We learn that one character is romantically interested in the other. It was confirmed beyond any doubt that Hinata likes Naruto during chuunin exams. Check.

3. The characters interact some more and became closer. Happened during Hinata vs Neji fight and the talk on the training grounds. Naruto clearly started to trust Hinata a lot. Check.

4. Love confession. Hinata not only confessed, but she was very first girl in Naruto's life to ever confess her love to him at that point. And that, no doubt about it, was a HUGE LEAP for NaruHina. Check.

5. It's hinted that the side of a relationship who wasn't romantically interested is possible to develop feelings too. This was hinted when Naruto's clone was able to tell that Hinata is worried just by looking her in the eyes and of course in chapter 615. Check.

Now then, that leaves only two last steps:

6. The side who until now wasn't romantic end of a relationship is now confirmed to have feelings for a person who was in love until now. Is yet to be revealed.

7. The pairing is proven to be canon. Is yet to be revealed.

Squeezing those two steps in 4 remaining chapters isn't really all that hard. In fact - one chapter is sufficient for that. In the same time SasuSaku reached only step 4. NaruSaku is IMO at step 3 since there wasn't even any honest Sakura's love confession (the one that happened was a lie).
